Midweek, Barca is visiting the high flying Alaves coached by former Barca defender Abelardo.

They haven't been too hot in the past 5 games, but it's still going to be a difficult game imo. Play all the key players for this game.

That was the right amount of rotation vs. Real Sociedad. Now, rest three or four different starters in each of the next two games, even though sitting the likes of Alba, Pique, Lenglet, Suarez and Messi may well drop points.

One rotation or two, but mostly full force. I'd rest Rakitić this time, since Busi rested vs Sociedad. Maybe give Todibo a shot.

----------------MATS----------------
Semedo---Todibo---Lenglet---Alba
--------------Busquets--------------
------Vidal--------------Arthur------
---Messi-----Suarez-----Dembele--

Than do heavy rotations on the weekend.

Barça can finish the league in the next 2 games, would be foolish not to try and do that.

Foolish would be to tire and risk a single starting or sub player before a monstrous CL semi against the only team left in the competition that has a very real chance of eliminating us. The league is already won, unless we implode totally and completely after the Levante and Celta Vigo games (which should simply consider as write-offs) and Atleti just win all of their remaining games.

In tuesday I would play,

Mats
Roberto Pique Lenglet Alba
Arthur Busi Vidal
Dembele Messi Coutinho

We should definetly win this game and come one step from winning the league, and then ofcourse rest every single one of our starters next weekend for Liverpool

Alavés don't look at their best form of the season, especially in defence. They are not as solid as Getafe or Valencia for example + they don't have something important to play for.
I expect a 3/0 or 4/0 for Barça. But maybe we'll play a slow game to save stamina and end 2/0.

this isn't a match we should be affording a loss

we need the points here and rest in the weekend.
we got 5 games left, and need 9 points for the title

hopefully sevilla / valencia can knock some out of atletico so we can afford to rest more

We only need 6 points to win the title. More or less impossible to lose the title at this point.

Full force tomorrow, maybe with 1-2 rotations. Then we can wait and see if Atletico manage to beat an in-form Valencia team, on Wednesday. In case of a draw or Valencia win, we can send Barcelona B on Saturday.

Full speed ahead. Our older guys should only rest against Levante before Liverpool.
Players like Arthur, Semedo and Lenglet can play both games if they don't play tomorrow.
Valencia have 1 loss in 22 games, let's hope they can help us out on wednesday.

ter Stegen
Roberto, Piqué, Umtiti (if fit), Alba
Rakitic, Busi, Vidal
Messi, Suárez, Coutinho

In an ideal scenario we wrap up la liga this week vs levante.
Play starting players tomorrow, win. Then start a b-team vs levante and let them win us la liga before the liverpool tie.
Then we go all out vs Liverpool with zero worries about the league.
Especially for an extremely cautious man like valverde it will be The best position to be in.
