It's really crazy when you think about how Klopp outfoxed us with a team like that. He made Valgreen look like a con artist.
He schooled him. Simple. No Salah, no Firmino, no worries. Not even Naby Keita and they still played us off the park.

Valgreen opts for 3 defensive midfielders and they cut through us like a hot knife through butter.
Crazy stuff man. People want this guy to continue and he gets exposed on the biggest stage.

Dude, you need to understand that anybody that remotely defends the TEAM or some of the players can not be automatically siphoned off as a Valverde worshipper. In the poll section 95% of this forum voted him out. Relax, we all want him gone.

But it's the players. We don't have players like Robertson, Milner, Matip, Origi, Shaquiri in our team.

But what hurts more is our club behaving like this didn't even happen

Will happen next season too since Failverde will still be here.

This hurt a lot, and I really wanted us to win this year, because it was very much possible with all the other fuckups, and then we end up being the headline once again.

As a fanbase this CL-obsession has become maniac-like. It was the same with Real before La Decima. Everything is about CL, even summer-startup/transfers/league-games early on etc.
If we won this year, it would be a massive liberation from all that build-up and tension, which would do soooo much good for us as a club and a team.

Now the CL-obsession is back on next season, which is not healthy. Maybe if we sack Valverde, play more youth (De Jong, De Ligt, Alena, bench Suarez, bench Rakitic, Bench Busquets) and play less pragmatic, next season will be better in terms of the state of this club, team and fanbase, even if we don’t win CL, and maybe not even the league. That would be a good sign, tbh.

If we keep Valverde and are kicked out of CL again, even with winning the league, I fear we could go in full retard mode as a club and buy unwisely like overpaying for someone like Coutinho or hyped youth like Sandro for too much money. Therefore the state of mind in the club/fanbase matters, and I really hope it will change next season. The sacking of Valverde after the cup final could be the start, but it’s not destined to succeed if fans/club then expect trophies + great play from season 1, as most will.

I think we need to move on. Tomorrow is the Copa final and we don't even have a thread for that game.
