Front 3 for liverpool will be-

Mane-Origi- Salah

Or maybe klopp will go for an extra midfielder with salah and mane uptop.

I actually want us to beat them while they are at full force. No excuses, just an exciting tie to show who is best.

We need at least two goal gap going into the Anfield game. If we can withstand the early onslaught in Anfield and settle we can punish them in the counter. They will attack with numbers at Anfield. I expect a more cagey approach from Klopp in the first leg.

IMO the perfect result at the Camp Nou would be 2-0 for us.

No goals concieded, having some advantage, but not enough for complacency to kick in.

Hoping for valverdes's masterclass and going to anfield with 1:0.

Expecting barca to score 2 or more against this lpool side at home and not concede, its a bit unrealistic.

I laugh at some fans writing how lpool will crush barca at anfield, lpool can win, absolutely, but dont be silly with such statements

Everybody must prove it, not only Valverde. The players have a serious task too. The title for the best team in the world is at stake here. If we knock out Liverpool we are back at the top.

Alba needs to show he's better than that Liverpool LB. Busi needs to show he's still the real deal at DM. Messi needs to show he still has it in the final stages in CL. Suarez needs to show he can still score big goals in CL, Stegen needs to confirm he's no1 in the world now, Coutinho needs to prove he's not a flop. Arthur needs to prove he is indeed the biggest talent in midfield along with De Jong. Lenglet needs to show his top season is a confirmation, not an exception. Pique needs to show he is the defense general and the leader we expect him to be.

And so on. Lots of question marks for everyone, not only the manager. Valverde also has to confirm he belongs in the conversation with the likes of Simeone, Klopp, Allegri etc. This could be his breakthrough.

In a nutshell, we have to confirm that we are indeed a great force in Europe, and not just a team who dispatched two mediocre opponents like Lyon and Manchester United.

Unquestionably but out of all of those Valverde seems like the one with the most to prove, this is the grand exam of his career, pass it and will enter straight into history with a possible treble, fail it and will always be remembered as a fraud and a failure.

Of course he won't. It's almost never treble or death.

A lot would depend on the way we went out (if we go out).

In that case most will label him a failure for Roma and now Liverpool all this while cruising into the domestic league but never managing to do nothing special in CL.

Yea, it depends on how we go out. After all Guardiola was eliminated by a Chelsea team in 2012 that was considerably weaker than this Liverpool.

So, outside of a massive bottle job or embarrassing aggregate score, Valverde should be fine for next season even if we go out.

Yes but context is key. Pep lost that game despite Barca absolutely dominating Chelsea and hitting the post multiple times. Chelsea were sooo lucky that game.

Whereas the Roma loss was embarrassing. Not an elite opponent and we got our arses handed to us.

Firmino will play. Don't kid yourselves.

They play twice as well when Firmino plays as he drops back slightly and links everything together... We play far better when Busqs plays and he is our ‘link’ man .. he just plays further back than Firmino

I know a few Liverpool fans and they’re all desperate to win the Premier League over the champions league.
It’s gonna be very interesting come Wednesday.
