Ansu Fati (loaned to Brighton)

btw EV is also blocking his development by letting him warm the bench for 180 minutes for no reason.

Messi played 10 minutes in 8 consecutive Liga games when he was even older than Fati and it didn't block his development. He later called the same coach who did that "the best coach he ever had".
Only here people will feel there is nothing to gain when a young player will get some games on the bench, despite it happening for most talents. Rarely young players get promoted and suddenly be playing most of the minutes or close to it directly when he is just moved from youth team. Surely not for club in Barca level and not for a player who isn't even 17.
Even Pep is doing the same with Foden, who played less minutes with City playing 2 more games and Fati himself getting injured 2 games.

There's Camavinga for Rennes but then again, he's far out their top option in CM/CDM

Stéphan even plays him as winger and AM at times. Very versatile and incredibly smart! But you're right that even in his case, club stated their 1st focus is to protect him and finesse his development as smoothly as possible...

Foden is 19, Fati is 16. It is critical to play as much as possible for him, even Messi was playing regularly for Barca B in his age.

No, Messi didn't play much with Barca B, check his states in TM. He was called non stop during same time in the season. Barely played in either teams.
And Foden being older is supposed to make a point? At 19 he is done developing? Am I missing something?

Being a true first team player, which he is, can be of great benefit for him. His motivation will be through the roof. Playing for the bteam, which he hasn't ever played for, just doesn't make sense at this point. He has proved he is able to contribute to our first team. He wont be a stranger or "chsrrity case" but a player on equal footing with the rest of them. He will be mentored by Messi, learn from players who have been playing professional football for years to decades.

If it was me, it would be a blow to play for the bteam after that ride. I would much rather give it every thing i got at the highest stage, even if the minutes are limited.

Anyway, it's time he gets subbed. Let Griezmann be benched, start Dembele and sub Fati on after 60min.

not gonna lie , our worst player first half.

If Dembele had put this performance first half , he would have been crucified dawgs.

The problem is that he is a great finisher and good movement around the box. He doesn't get cutbacks from our side and plays on the side where the cutbacks come from (Alba). Both his goal for us has been from cutbacks and crosses from the right.

Tough game for him so far. Also seems like him and Alba,(and occasionally de Jong) cluster up in the same space.

That's because we haven't had a true LW and Alba got too comfortable going forward all the time...no secret that Alba was one of our worst players when Neymar was here and Alba couldn't bomb forward that much. It's better to have a proper LW though, hopefully that could be Fati in a few years, not to mention Alba is starting to wind down anyway.

He was Dembelesque tonight, made the same kind of mistakes... Still he hadn't played in a month, so gets some slack...

Even with this terrible performance, I did like that he puts in more work and also moves off the ball as well. Dembele hardy does those things.
