The plan is probably to win the game early on and sub some key players, although there’s too many key players playing and the way we play the first half of games it could easily be 0-0 at half time. Hope I’m wrong.

Meanwhile Lyon is resting Depay, Fekir and Ndombele against Strasbourg right now.

But you never know, perhaps we are that bad to need the starters to beat Rayo at home.

We can have a 20 point lead over second place, And play against a team that has over 14 points in total this season and Valverde will still proclaim "wow these guys are dangerous" and proceed to play most of the starters.

Man is afraid of his own shadow.

Can't really complain. Had a weeks rest so everyone should be fine and 4 days with no travel before Lyon. Would have started dembele though

Marcelo, Lyon defender, was injured in the game against Strasburg. Muscle problem.

Exactly. This game will be 0-0 after 45 min and then we realize we need to keep all the best players on field and boom: Fatigue vs Lyon and another Valverde shitshow in CL.

Im always a bit in the fence regarding playing starters before a crucial match.
Do you let them get into rhythym or rest as many as possible.
If we crash out vs Lyon, Ernie will be rightfully crucified because of this though. Luckily the board renewed him.
