14 - João Félix

You should watch 2018/2019 Bruno lages benfica, a complete polar opposite to Simeones team. Loves possession, constant running off the ball, quick passing, explosive wingplay and a dominant midfield.

Joao Felix was a player who thrived off possession, making runs in tight little areas, through balls through he middle and loved quick passing exchanges with his teammates. There's nothing like that in atletico.

The dumbest transfer ever, honestly don't know why he moved there. A great talent gone to waste.

A straight swap for Griezmann in January.

You mean for Mbappe in the summer, we should go for it, PSG will certainly be more interested in France's star forward, although Mbappe is already a star too, only much younger, but we could maybe convince them with a let's say a 100M over the top to go with alongside Griezmann to make up for it. Would still be worth it in my opinion.

But as we're not in the Mbappe or the Griezmann thread, I will say this, Felix would've been the better suit for Barca in any case, much more technical while Griezmann was actually perfectly suited to Atletico because of his hard working nature, but yet he was still their star player, just how he likes it. We should've just left Griezmann in Atletico and pay Felix's release clause from Benfica ourselves, and with Felix we'd actually have a proper LW to work with too (alongside his versatility to also being able to play CF like Griezmann's ideal position), not this pile of shit that is Griezmann, when he's pushed to that left side.

For once it would be nice to actually buy a player and play him where he's best at, not just buy (overpay) the biggest name, and then play him out of position, because you have no idea how to fit him into the team, since his ideal position doesn't exist in our formation. First Coutinho, now Griezmann, same thing. That is this Board for you in a nutshell, galactico policy lol. Disgusting. And then you have Griezmann suffering here, and Felix struggling under Simeone, such a real footballing tragedy, seeing players so clearly being in the exact opposite wrong clubs and under mentalities not suiting their style of play.

Yep both teams and players would've been better for it. Doubt Felix was even on the board's radar at all.

Weird they'd push for the older workhorse over the more stylish technical buck, and specially more so after all The Decision brouhaha.

Just Mendes stuff. He is deep in Benfica and Atletico business.

Well, Griezmann clearly asked for it. He planned his exit from Atletico. He knew where he was going to play when signing for Barça. No one can take Messi space.

Griezmann is not a victim here. I'm pretty sure he is happy to be at Barça and doesn't plan to leave anytime soon. He has kinda the same mentality with Umtiti and Dembélé. They are happy to have made it into Barça. Doubt they want to switch clubs.

Liked his performance vs. Villarreal.
Certainly an interesting young talent in La Liga which is rare nowadays.
Hope he gets better and better.

Kid's surely got potential...though his transfer was a flop in my book. Picked the worst possible team for is playing style, and the huge price tag is certainly not the kind to be paid for a player w/ potential (an immediate impact is expected when any club pays for an amount like that)

Yep. I too watched the game last night and thought he was excellent bar that one chip he missed 1 v 1 with the keeper.

He's got a lot of world-class attributes to his game already. His one touch play is ridiculously good.

Not impressed (yet)

19 year old Ferran Torres beats Felix in goals and assists already with roughly same minutes
