Dani Olmo

After watching him more lately in a CL playing for Dinamo, I am 50:50% about him.

1. On one hand, he seems smart and he improved insanely in the last 2 years and surely has a lot of talent.
2. On the other hand, he has a lot of flaws and is miles from Barca's level in this moment

This is a case where it is really hard to make a call.
The best option is to wait a little longer to see how will he develop.

The problem with option #2 is that he eventually goes to another team with his price tripling. Depends on how much Dinamo want right now I guess and how much Barca can spend and their priorities.

IMO, if they have the money for it and someone like Koulibaly is available they need to consider it. Need someone who can lead the defence under pressure as neither Pique or Lenglet can do that.

Then they need a LW IMO and then a midfielder.

Smart move. Cheap, young with plenty of quality, can play multiple positions. I like the most in the advanced midfielder position. He is not my favorite for that position but he could certainly do a great job. And if he flops it won’t be more than 20m we lose on him.

I am just reading in Croatian media that his manager Bara confirmed that Barcelona has made a bid for him and now it is up on Dinamo to accept an offer or not.
The highest Dinamo's transfer till now was Marko Pjaca to Juventus for 23M Euros and Dinamo says that Olmo will be their most expensive sale in a history.
Dinamo is asking 40M for Olmo.
Barca's bid is probably lower than 40M.

** Btw, if Barca is preparing to pay 30-40M for a 21 years old Olmo, then it is quite obvious that they don't rely too much on a 22 years old Alena and especially 20 years old Puig.
If 20 years old Puig can't get a single minute here and we are buying a 30-40M kid aged 21, you have quite an obvious answer.

Btw:
179 cm tall
Fast
Good stamina

At least we are improving in that area, we will have 2 players with pace, stamina, height and technique=Frenkie and Olmo.
Moving away from slow turtle football and midfielders with physique of teen girls.

His stamina and intensity is definitely a plus. If we can get him for 30 then it would be good business. Even if he fail, we could ship him off for maybe 15m. Has also looked good for Spain.

The more I think about him the more I like his profile. He looks very useful (like a midfield Pedro). Is there a chance he joins us in winter? We are in dire need of a midfielder.

Is the move for winter or summer ? i only heard it's for summer

Croatian papers are writing for the last few weeks that Olmo could leave in a winter transfer window.

Dinamo was KOd in a group stage of a CL so there is no need for Olmo anymore.
