Almost seems intentional for Atleti to try and get a midweek breather by forfeiting Copa. Not that I think the cup comp should have gone ahead this year anyway.

Why intentional? Standard coaching fare to play a second team against third division team. The possible loss was factored in but don't think planned.

Didn't even look like a second team tbh
Obviously result not intended. Didn't watch (wasn't even aware it was going on) so can't comment on effort or intent. But it's certainly somewhat convenient considering they need to win these Liga games to keep their cushion.

Koke, Oblak, Suarez, Llorente, Lemar, Carrasco, Hermoso, Vrsaljko not playing. In second half substituted Vitolo and Felix for dunno who.

Yh few frequent rotation and reserve options, but Vrsaljko for instance barely plays. Guess it's just the depth and not consistently watching them that makes me confused who the flavour of the month is. Saul and Gimenez for example are in and out of the team this season for most part.

Closest we’ll get to playing Espanyol this season. Stadium is literally next door to theirs.

Glad there’s no travelling like to Ibiza last season.
