We need this guy back. Our CBs are atrocious. Usually you could rely on Pique and Lenglet on a weekly basis with mistakes here and there but these days we concede almost every game because of simple mistakes by both.

Haven't read anything new about him. We have a relatively easy schedule after the Atleti game so now would be the perfect time to regularly rotate our CB's and for Araujo to gain some experience.

Not that it's his fault, but it irritates me to have backups that aren't fit. Now Pique is gone for the rest of the season so we'll see plenty of Araujo. But we needed him fit earlier.

True. Where the hell is Vermaelen for example? Very good D but always injured. You can't rely guys like that, even if they are good.

Hopefully this is not the case with Araujo.

True. This is why I believe in a military approach where you create replicas and replace players with more ease like Bayern. Basically many European players are talented more or less and with discipline and great attitude and training and understanding of the system can outperform the most talented players like Isco and Diego etc ... Exceptional talent is rare and teams should not rely on that

Was always a risk to start him against a team like Juve when he was just coming back from injury and lacking form. Why not just start Mingueza?

No idea wtf Koeman thinks with his selections. He's quickly turning into our version Ole with his ridiculous set-ups.

He looked better when Barca changed formation and were not sitting deep. In that scenario his pace becomes a bigger factor and less his penalty box defending.

Would persevere with him for his pace and power alone as Barca need to get back to basics and the high line and pressing from front again even if with Messi that is difficult.

When sit deep Messi is too isolated and doesnt have the legs to hit space or drive into space from half way line to infleunce game from there.

Always pretty hesitant with giving accolades to young Centrebacks at Barca.

Its the position on this team where most youngsters get overrated a lot by fans pretty quickly.

Him and Minguenza shouldn't be starters anyway. Don't know why people want to hype things up with such young, inexperienced players.

Would start him next game ahead of Lenglet and would start Umtiti also if he can run.

Lenglet is Busi level liabilty in every game and Barca need to try and see how Araujo develops as he has pace and power and something to work on. Lenglet shouls be done at club now.
