That might be the only positive thing from this whole coronavirus pandemic.

However never underestimate how stupid our board and sporting department can be. They just might forgo all other signings we need and throw all the money we have at Neymar. Basically Neymar will be our own signing and nobody else.

You may be absolutely right. The board has enough idiots to do something like that. And yes, if they pay for him 175 M, we can not sign anybody else.

With the current global crisis and inevitable economic consequences Neymar fee and wages has surely got to be last option on the cards. Any financial benefit through supposed marketing value he brings is surely now going to be inconsequential.

Best solution is we use the economic shrinkage to reduce our wage bill bloat of the seniors and start the medium term rebuild now. The football market is going to hit a reset mode so it is best to enter it with low cost signings and also resetting our astronomical wages.
