New Barcelona signing Antoine Griezmann says the club re-signing Neymar could help them "achieve great things".

It is believed the Catalan club made a bid worth around €120 million (£108 million) for the Brazilian just two years after Paris Saint-Germain bought him for a world-record fee of €222 million (£200 million).

So that's it then , he's not coming. Before people start celebrating this raises 2 massive concerns

1) If we are not in the market for another LW, we are almost certainly going to play Fortnite as LW and Suarez will continue as first choice ST. No way will they drop Suarez for Dembele. This is hardly inspiring.

2) We were obviously in for Ney and obviously needed to sell players to fund him. Indirectly, this shows that they are having trouble selling the players we all want sold. So, expect to see Cou, Rakitic, Umtiti and the rest still here next season. :throw:

Things need to be clarified. we are not looking at neymar is a dignified way of saying we cant afford. understandable. It all goes back to Barca s inability to sell players .. many players are clearly not wanted, but of whom barca cant ship not even one ! This is the main issue.. you give the player a fat contract and u expect him to leave thats a joke.. Bale is staying put because of similar conditions.. anyway, it all boils down to two scenarios:

1- Loan reymar with mandatory sale.
2- creating all of this turmoil as a long term tactic for a next season purchase.

Umtiti isn't part of the equation. The moment we lost battle for De Ligt it was clear he is staying so we basically have only one option for Ney and that's offering Coutinho + Rakitic but PSG declined that so I don't see what else can we do. There is also another problem I sincerely doubt that Rakitic and Umtiti wanted to leave so we basically have only Coutinho who is probably willing to go and that's just not enough to found Neymar.

There is also a problem with Valverde. If you are trying to get rid of the player than manager has to back up the club and tell the player that he doesn't count on him but Valverde backed up Rakitic numerous times so he knows he will play if he stays.

Can't imagine how the hell we could have pulled a rabbit out of a hat financially and force PSG to let him come back and of course why the hell would anybody want his drama queen injury prone toxic ass back.

We need a LB & coach with the balls to make changes (and of course the brain to spot the necessary tweaks).

I just don't get the idea to brig this pu**y back, after all what he did and after all he isn't like 22 years old + injury prone... Just let him stay there, dive and ruin his career ...

According to reports Barcelona board believe the best time to make a serious approach for Neymar is near the end of the transfer window so PSG will have less time to find a suitable replacement. The rivalry between the clubs is growing day by day. PSG accept that Neymar will be sold but they are extremely reluctant to sell to Barcelona, they would prefer Neymar to go to Real Madrid or Juventus.

Yes thats right, but Real Madrid has Hazard and Juventus has Ronaldo so I dont think that Neymar will go there. The only option for him is Barca.

By the way why is Messigician banned ?
