I'm pretty certain the Barcelona board are doing this on purpose. They can say they tried to sign Neymar and we'll be left with a Suarez and a Dembele who gets injured regularly this season.
We let Malcom and Coutinho go and didn't get in any replacements. We know Dembele has injury issues.... and we know Suarez is nearly 33. Messi is also 32, so we can't expect these guys to play every single match. Our depth is pretty shocking in the forward department.
Bartomeu has been an awful president.
We'll probably come to an agreement, but it's definitely going to have to be around a 50m loan fee with a 150m mandatory buy.
If we can't get Neymar, we have to chase other targets before the window closes. We're pretty short in the forward department. I wouldn't mind us getting a right-back as well.
Bet they are going to try and squeeze a 70 Million euro Loan Fee+130 Mandatory buy option.
It's going to be absurd.
They have every right to do that. If we were smart, we would have asked for a much larger loan fee for Coutinho. They know damn well that Bayern ain't paying no 120m euros for Coutinho next season, so it was rather pointless putting that in there.
