Getting a 100% clear penalty denied is not called running out of luck.

Maybe not. Doesn't change the fact that they played badly again. Besides, it's not like that penalty would've won them the match. Also, don't forget they got very lucky with VAR against City just last week.

You have to ask what's the point of spending all this time and effort and getting Lo Celso when he isn't going to be used.

Tottenham's midfield is just so weak. It makes it easy for Arsenal to bypass it.

Liverpool's going to make 3 CL finals in a row at the least. What a time to be alive (these guys were the single greatest joke among elite clubs since 90s) and what a difference a world class manager makes.

Some of that’s definitely our fault for choking away our leads these last two years (they got to play Roma in the semis because of us) and then taking Philippa off them for 140m to spend on the best centerback and goalkeeper in the world.

CL is about very small margins. Napoli almost dropped Liverpool from the next round. Napoli missed huge chance in the dying minutes of the game. (also Dijk should have been sent out for horrible tackle. )

There's no guarantees in CL.

Barcelona shouldn't use that as an excuse though, because we have been sent packing embrassingly multiple years in a row. That's no bad luck.

If you look at the last decade of CL football, it is us who fucked up most of the time and usually against weaker teams(on paper at least).
We were eliminated by teams who either played the final or won it in the end.

It's official for me. The PL is now the best 'possession based' league in the world now.

PL went from hoof ball to enjoyable possession based style the past 10 years thanks to the likes of Pep, Klopp, Poch, Sarri (left now), Rodgers, Potter and Farke. Now you can count on 1 hand the crappy hoof ball teams left, maybe even 3 fingers. Burnley is the only obvious one remaining. Hopefully Leeds gets promoted this year and keep Bielsa.

Really like the look of this 3-4-3 by Chelsea.

Good buildup from the back and Midfield and a lethal attack as well.
