For all their plaudits, Pool's front 3 have only managed 46 goals between them this season.

For comparison, MSN got 122 in 14/15 and 130 in 15/16.

Yea, Liverpool lack the technique to really unlock a tight deep defensive block that doesn't make silly mistakes. Against this type of setup the technical limitations of players like Henderson, Milner, even Wijnaldum or Fabinho becomes more apparent. They do not have the required set of skills to play through balls when surrounded by players. So, what they do most of the time is bring the ball wide and play on the wings. Which would be fine if they had a killer 9, but all their front men are small-ish players who like spaces as well.

Don't see Liverpool creating much danger in when the box is packed with players.

Pretty much like that. I would add that mane and salah also are not that class of a world beaters in tight areas, this game shows exactly how would they play for us if something like that occured in future. Van dijk had a pretty undisciplined approach in this one, but cant count on that in some serious game.

All in all, they showed that they are vulnerable and not that scary, eh

3-0 will surely knock their confidence. Doubt will creep in. It’s not like losing 3-2 or by being unlucky. Vamos Watford.

It comes on the back of two poor performances vs Atleti and West Ham too.

They are done in the CL IMO. They may on a run cutting the lead to 10 or so. If City beat Madrid, they can mount quite a bit of a comeback.

Suppose a CL followed by PL isn’t a bad haul. But when I have watched them this season they haven’t been as impressive at all.

Absolutely staggering numbers by MSN. Miss those days.

Honestly, this only highlights the current state of Europe that the best team in the world doesn't have such transcendent numbers.

08/09 - Messi/Henry/Eto'o had 98 goals
10-11 - Messi/Villa/Pedro had 95 goals

Then there's MSN those 2 seasons.

RM 11-12 had 112 goals from CR7, Benz, Higuain
RM 13-14 had 107 goals from BBC.

La Liga 08-18 was the greatest stretch of dominance over Europe by a league IMO. Even better than Serie A of the late 80s/90s

Also, this shows that when Pool inevitably lose their insane intensity/work rate, they will be pretty listless. They don't have the sheer talent we had even in our decline (Messi, Suarez) to linger about in Europe.
