BBZ acting like we're claiming Pep would win titles for perpetuity at Barcelona.

All we want is another 3-4 year successful cycle. Less successful than 08-12, sure, but more than what EV has served us also.

What's so hard to grasp?

It's like you're trying to pass off discovering fire. We've already known this shit for millenia.

Pep wouldn’t touch this Barca side with a ten foot pole. First thing he’d ask is to bin the entire back line and replace them with people who (he thinks) have some control.

Don't think so. He'd bin Pique and that's it. Possibly Alba.

I have never seen him play for Atletico , but Rodri defensively looks like the current Busquets who is on his last legs. How the fuck does a 23 year old look so slow ?

Weren't their rumors he wanted to bin Pique during his final season here?

I would assume he would probably be the first one to go if Pep came back.

Going into a squad that's had Kompany, D.Silva and Aguero as their spine for 7 years or so in their 30s was always going to result in a season like this as they aged. Pep's obviously had all the money in the world to deal with this though so shouldn't get off lightly. Would like to see him stay another year and see if he can remedy this, different thing having a clear out when you first arrive at a club as a manager to clearing out players that you've had for years and maybe bought yourself.

I don't think he's had as much money to throw around lately. They wanted Maguire but wouldn't pay the money that United would. Same with VVD and Jorginho.
