I think this Liverpool would've gave even Pep's Barcelona serious trouble. I think they are slightly better than United under Ferguson in 2009-2011.

Yea, but Liverpool's force to push the game and play on the front foot is impressive. A seriously talented counter attacking team could do them though on the break.

They rank 10/10 so far at motivation, work rate and tactics. The only serious weakness they have is the technical level of some of their players which is not the best. In many ways they are similar to Barcelona 09-11 in many aspects. Pressing, ability to impose their game over anyone at the moment, drive, physical level, tactical implementation of the manager's vision. The only difference is we had better individuals and a style based more on possession. And because of that we dominated teams in a more consistent, more aesthetic and clearer manner.

See that's why you have work rate.. Mane gets penalty, because he tries. Suarez would never get this penalty, because he is fucking lazy and slow.

Because the referee wanted this penalty. If Suarez had substituted, there would have been nothing. The referee whistles one way at the match.

Nah, if they played like that and lost 3 or 4-0 that would be from Valverde's book. They actually stayed very close to Liverpool.

When Valverde puts up his defensive masterclass tactics, we usually end up stuffed with goals.
