If you give Messi Benz of the last 3 years, we'd have at least won the CL in 18/19 and competed hard in 17/18.
Suarez was a freak of nature (physically) between 12-16. That's why he reached heights Benz never did. But Benz was always the more technical player and as expected has lasted much longer.

Sounds exactly like us under Valverde.
First of all, i like Tuchel. The guy is nice and all. He has great ideas. However, we see nothing on the pitch. Nothing.
Secondly, some players are clearly overrated.

That happened with plenty of platers of Real.
I think because of marketing. Guys like di maria, navas, Bale, Ramos, Modric and kroos all had great contributions as well.
The weird thing to me was they were all happy with Ronaldo pulling all the attention and accolades towards him.

At least Real Madrid has different ways to score and hurt their opponents, among which headers that are increasingly important when you have opposing players clogging the penalty box.

Suarez still better to me overalk though. If we say best strikers of this decade its Suarez, Lewa, Aguero, Cavani, benzema a d Ibra if you count him.
I Would consider Suarez the best overall but Benzema clearly been the best in cl out of those guys. And never got much credit for it. Allthough mayve he prefered it that way.

Benzema is in good form now, finally, after many years of being a passenger. Went a whole season with 5 league goals while playing for Real Madrid. He also played a CL season with 1 knockout goal which was gifted to him by the Bayern goalkeeper backpassing.
Stop talking him up to be Real's real hero to downplay Ronaldo just because he shows 2 months of good form.

Zizou's whole strategy been death by thousand cross. But thats how you beat busses, that and long shots or making runs behind defense.

They've been even more disappointing than us in CL KOs when it matters (relative to team strength)

13/14 - Stomped by Madrid at home
14/15 - Stomped by Barca at Camp Nou
15/16 - Unlucky
16/17 - RM ran up the score on them, although you could argue they were done by refs
17/18 - Shot themselves in the foot v RM
18/19 - Stomped by Pool at home
