City playing like crap. Quite defensive, and with negative possession. Almost as if Pep is doing a Valverde. Even uses the same low block 4-4-2 often in defense.

CR7 would feast on otamendi and laporte. both are abysmal dealing with even dele alli.

Yea, sometimes he was roasted, but other times he blocked him well. Bottom line is Ronaldo can be blocked by cutting the service to him. This means dominating the ball and being careful on counters. Trying to block him by way of absorbing pressure like those stupid folks from Atletico tried is crazy and almost never works. You let Ronaldo wait in the box for service he is going to connect with some usable balls and it's... well... trouble.

We'll deal with something similar from United tomorrow. Valiant effort with lots of running and tackling, but we need to stay calm, pass well, move well and work hard. And, most importantly, score our chances. And we'll be totally fine.
