Does 'Nordic' cover basically the whole region? Because 'Scandinavia' traditionally only refers to a few of those countries doesn't it.

As far as I know the Scandinavian countries are Denmark, Norway and Sweden, whereas the Nordic region refers to all of the countries and areas in that vicinity - so Iceland and Finland are also included, as well as other smaller islands and communities.
