That relegation battle...

14th to 18th are in 4 points at this moment. Girona, Villarreal, Levante, Celta and Valladolid are the candidates to be relegated. Huesca and Rayo look segunda bound already.

Plus Levante will most likely get no points today, since Valencia needs a win to close on CL spots and get away from Getafe and Deportivo.

Would be harsh for Girona to go down after their good start and beating Real and knocking Atletico out of Copa Del Rey.

Want Celta and Villarreal to stay up and not fussed about who goes down.

What is this Valencia-Levante match.

Valencia scores an own goal to tie the game and then immediately score one on the other end.

Guedes looked good in that second striker role instead of his usual left winger role, where he has to track back alot

Great Seville derby. Also some good matches yesterday.

4th place, Europa League and relegation battles will all be interesting until the end.

Alaves and Valladolid will open the next round with a Friday night game. Abelardo's team is not in a good form but still have chances for 7th place which leads in Europa League. Valladolid just lost two precious points in added time against Getafe and they absolutely need to win.

Saturday:

Celta-Girona - direct duel between relegation candidates. Girona is 2 points above Celta but they've lost last 4 games, three among those at home. Celta lost at Wanda but their form has improved drastically since Aspas is back.

Rayo-Huesca - bottom two teams. Rayo is 5 points away from 17th place and Huesca further 2 points behind them. Whoever wins this could probably still hope, especially if it's Rayo. In case of a draw I think both teams are as good as relegated.

And then a very interesting Sunday:

Levante-Espanyol - important game for the home side who desperately needs a win. Espanyol is over 40 points so they are safe but at the same time they are also just 5 points behind Bilbao and could maybe stil have some European inspirations in this game.

Getafe-Sevilla - direct duel for a 4th place, Sevilla has overcome Getafe after their Derby win and Getafe's last minute draw at Valladolid. Probably won't be a pretty game but should be interesting anyway.

Real Madrid-Athletic - Basques currently sit at 7th position and are in a very good form so could surprise Madrid who is just waiting for the season to finish. Maybe they still have some distant CL hopes but I think they would be more than happy if they can qualify for Europa League with the way they've started the season.

Villarreal-Leganes - more important game for the yellow submarine who is just 2 points above the relegation zone but If Leganes can win their home game against RM tonight they would be just 3 points behind 7th place.

Betis-Valencia - Betis's CL dreams are officially done after the Derby loss but they are just 3 points behind Bilbao. On the other hand Valencia is closely following Sevilla and Getafe and would benefit the most if this game would end with a draw. Of course they should do their job first and win at Villamarin which won't be easy.
