Is this guy even a top 30 midfielder in the world? Genuinely curious what he is good at?

He's just as bad as Busi.

Ajax's marketing team bruh did them a solid. Ndombele? Nah. Aouar? Nah. An actual defensive midfielder? Nah. Let's buy the guy that can't play as a pure DM, CM, or No. 8 when our midfield is shit. Now we have to play some dumb formations to accommodate him not because he's consistently good, but because he's expensive.

You know its bad when the best thing you can say about him is that he has a hot girlfriend. Has no strengths whatsoever as a player. Weak, both physically and mentally, not a particularly good passer, and a coward in possession.

Him and Busquets midfield doesn't work , never will.


They both got smoked really bad by a noname Cadiz player on the same ocasion.

2 minutes later same guy ( ? ) nutmegged him.

I don't know why but in some games he looks like an amateur.

Thought this guy's dribbling skills were better. At Ajax he used to breeze past 1,2,3 players from deep easily. Harder to do when the teams are defending deep, but then he doesn't do it when teams are pressing us too. Dwells on the ball for long, takes 3,4,5 touches instead of passing it quickly. He must improve.

Too bad he didn't play in the "2nd" team. Would've looked so much more like the Ajax De Jong.

Only positive I can say about him is that he runs and has some workrate, which is important since he plays in a team with quite a few geriatrics.

He's slowly getting worse and worse. He does put in the effort, but his whole game is pretty average, to say the least.

Remember him doing roulettes in every third game under Valverde in the beginning of the last season:lol: been only a year but feels like 5
