I thought he could transition more into a combative CB but I was wrong, he and Pique are somewhat similar to each other.

He doesn't look comfortable defending the wide space Alba leaves behind once he goes forward. Someone like Umtiti before his injuries and Todibo would fit that role much better.

Lenglet is nothing extraordinary, but he does his job well enough and is usually steady.

Comparing him to that daft, finished oaf Umtiti is very insulting to Clement.

It was evident from the start that Lenglet is the "intelligent" timid type of a CB. Pique's sucesssor must be a robust CB.
