Houssem Aouar

Haven't seen much of him so I personally cannot tell how good he is or not, but I read Pep want to sign him now instead of the other names Man City have been linked with so perhaps that leaves us with de Jong after all.

This player should be top priority.

He offers a real opportunity in the market. Intelligent, goal threat, composure, great first touch and able to play numerous positions. I think people underestimate the importance of goals from midfielders.

Agree, this guy is very good. He has been at this level for almost 2 seasons now. Underrated IMO. He plays the Iniesta position without being too offensive like Ozil, Coutinho and so on.

He is very talented. I hope he will stay in Lyon.

French talent have to stay in France at least during their first years at top level.

If not, French Ligue 1 will never progress.

He can be reckless at times with the ball. Trying to dribble out deep in his own half. Have a bit of maturing to do before he's ready for his big move.

Looks like he is staying in Lyon which means we can go for him yeaterday. NDombèlé gets lots of praise, feel like Aouar a bit underrated. His whoscores numbers for the last two seasons are better than Ndombele.

IMO a special player. Plays like a AM but can defend like a DM. So he can play a 8 in a 433 unlike other CAMS. Iniesta-like, really. De jong-Aouar seems perfectly balanced.

Hope he has a good year

felt he was so so at the euro u21s championship, didn't take command. foden imo looked the bigger talent between the two.

Just turned 21 and has to full seasons as starters for Lyon with great matches in the CHL. At Lyon, he has arguably been better or on par with Ndombele in some parts of the season. But agree not a great euro u21, next season gonna be interesting. I like his profile a lot though

As I mentioned here I think, most of my friends who are OL fans think he's special, and will end up being way bigger than Ndombele. The latter is more physical and can be impressive, especially considering how Lyon played under Genesio (a joke of a manager). But Aouar is very gifted, and he also happens to be more versatile.

Looks overrated to me. He was pretty bad at Euro U21 too when he wasn't benched. He looks too soft to succeed in my opinion. I hope I'm wrong.

Nbombele looks like a better prospect (he's a different kind of midfield though).
