Barto is far from a scapegoat, he has proven to be an incompetent president over and over again and the criticism he is getting is well deserved.

I think you failed to read the OP. I clearly state that:

So you might want to improve your reading comprehension before going off on me.

Having a competent president does not mean automatically winning trophies. Ffs, you just don't get it. It is not presidents job to make the team win trophies, that's up to coach, players and supportive staff, presidents job is to overlook everything and give best possible support and foundation it can for the team. He is not king though. You have board and directors and scouting department etc.
So once again, stupid fcking poll. You have guaranteed success on one hand and something vague and unclear on other.

Even if we go on to win the treble this year by some miracle our squad is relatively weak, aging and will not be able to compete in the league nor in Europe in a couple seasons at this rate. This may mean we go through a long dry spell, with the club failing to win any major silverware for years on end.

You say it's not the president's job to make the team win trophies and the coach, players, scouting etc. are more important. Well who brings in all this aforementioned personnel? The PRESIDENT does. Bartomeu has done a horrific job bringing in the right people on all fronts and that is the biggest reason why our future is so bleak. A new, competent president would be able to bring in the right people to get the job done and with the resources Barca has he should have no trouble doing so. I would personally sacrifice one season of success to set ourselves better for the long-term.

Your argument makes zero sense, since you're essentially stating that there are other more important figures that have a bigger impact on how this club performs on the pitch. That may be true, but the president of a club is the king in a sense since the people he brings in determines the success of the club. Clubs are run from the top up and if you have a competent president, he will make the competent moves and hires necessary to get a club with the stature of Barca back on track. If you hire (or vote in this case) a no good, rotten bastard like Bartomeu on the other hand, you're setting yourself up for massive failures in the future.

You do not win trebles by some miracles. You have to have perfect squad with perfect manager and some luck to win it, hence only 7 clubs in European have won it throughout history. So if we win treble, it is because we have been outstanding (not saying i would believe we will do so this year). Also, it is irrelevant in relations to this poll, as one option clearly states we win treble, making Barca win it 3 times, while even winning it twice is unique for us. This type of achievement will be not surpassed by any other team in any near future. What more, Bartomeu would become president, under whom squad has won 2 trebles, i have no issues with him continuing.

Secondly, sure presidents job is to be responsible for overall success of football club both on and off field. We have won alot under him, our financials are looking as good as they have ever been. What exactly makes it a horrific job? Our future is bleak? How so? Do you have a crystal ball? It is inevitable that after Messi stops playing, we would go into decline, you cannot help it. Messi has been more or less the most influential player in modern football and any team would suffer badly losing him. Just as any team would be as dependant on his skills as we are. This is just how things go.

And no, my argument makes any sense. Is Uncle Flo a good president? Real has gone trophyless under him, has also won alot in recent years. He is still the same. Hiring Zidane was as genius moment as hiring Benitez was dumb. Same way Bartomeu is just one part of the puzzle and JUST by removing him, there are no guarantees, even if his successor would be competent, we would do significantly better than with Bartomeu, not to mention if on other hand we would have another treble season.

Good to see at least 2/3rds of this forum have some common sense.
