Probably not. They struck me as an incompetent bunch just like our club officials.

We shall see what happens tomorrow.

It looks like it's all over for catalan independentists. Puigdemont again tried to take time by not answering Rajoy's question but Rajoy said that saturday he will send a request to the Parliament to activate art.155 of the Constitution that will strip away catalonia's autonomy.

This is what happens when you don't have an army or international support to fight a war.

It was dead even before they had the vote. The Catalan separatists didn't appear to be ready at all for independence, without a clear roadmap ahead and soliciting any support and sympathy from the international community.

That said, with Madrid triggering Article 155 it will likely create and encourage more resistance from within Catalonia and sympathy for independence if they don't tread it with care. They are just kicking the can down the road, in the future there could be more unrests in Catalonia.

That was expected. Catalans aren't violent nor do they have arms. Also, the sentiment seems to be split among them.
