I really thought Valverde would be much better with youth/younger players due to his work at Bilbao but sadly it isn't the case here.

He would rather rebuild the system around dudes like Suarez and Rakitic and play the likes of Pique who's been on one leg for the past couple of months and Busi who's on painkillers than develop young talent. like Bojan said, it's like EV is using Barca to boost his CV and nothing else.

Arthur is a CM that would fit us style wise no doubt but knowing EV he would probably not play a lot once he gets here and instead opt for Vets even in Dead rubber games.

Given Roberto's track record on signing & how EV treats players who are new & young, we just have to wait & see, doesn't look good though

Let's loan him to some midtable La Liga club if Valverde's still here next season.

He should be playing regularly and adapting to European football not sitting on the bench the entire season like Mina has.

If Dembele, one of the top 3 talents in the world and our second most expensive transfer ever can't get minutes, no other youngster will either.

The idea that Valverde is going to give minutes to a 2nd division player like Alena or South American league player (Arthur/Mina) is laughable.

tbh any player coming from a smaller league like Brazil shouldn't join in January regardless the coach.
It is tough enough to adapt here, no need to make it even more difficult with midseason bs

Yeah it's fucking stupid to agree to a January transfer.

So looks like Alena will be the only new addition to the midfield come the end of August.

There is a chance if he keep performing like this.

He was called up to the squad before he got injured in the Libertadores final.

We would have to pay more to get players from Brazil in the middle of their season though. Thats why many move in January.
