Arthur

MD is mentioning a loan until January 2020. First back to Gremio until January 2019 and then for another year to European club so he would adapt to European football.

doesn't sound that far fetched. Barca's most expensive signing is stilling coming off the bench to back up Vidal.

If/When Arthur does arrive, what's Valvalde going to say? "Arthur needs time to adapt and integrate". He ends up joining Mina and Coutinho on the bench to adapt and integrate.

I have heard that we are planning on getting in December. I hope that is not true because he will not get enough chances in the middle of the season when every game is important. Either in the summer or we should look for other options.

Not reliable sources of course, but it is encouraging that we are at least still getting linked with him.

I don't doubt we have a personal agreement with Arthur but convincing Gremio to lower their asking price will be tougher. Still, we have enough time and I think we'll complete his transfer before summer and then let him on loan until January.

Yeah. I agree.

Until then it's Gomes party.

Is he good enough for Barca? He doesn't seem to be anything special and why are no other clubs interested in him? His buy-out clause is 50m and that's not much for many clubs.
Barca spent a lot of money on the likes of Gomes, Arda and Paulinho, add the money spent on those average or below average players together and you have enough money for a proven world class midfielder. Barca has many talented players in the B or U19 teams especially in midfield and no wonder some of them left the club to try to get a chance somewhere else.

Agreed, we should wait until Roma or Napoli buy him then we buy him for double the price. We already bought proven big names like Coutinho though.

As for youngsters, bring a coach who believes in youngsters, Valverde isn't that coach.

For years this was said a lot by many neutrals about Busquets too, that didn't mean he wasn't a special player ;)
None of us has watched him enough to tell you anyway, question was repeated here over and over but there is like 2 or 3 Brazilians here and it seem non of them watch Geremio regularly and they have different opinions on him.

There are interest from other clubs,PSG,RM among others IIRC but it seems he wants us most. Add to that that 50M isn't simple money anyway specially for player coming from Brazil.

Buy him for double the price as an established world class player better than signing him now and selling him for less than half the price a year later.

It's just that he probably would go to a team like PSG, City or RM and we wouldn't be able to buy him ever. We already bought Coutinho, so it's nothing wrong in taking a risk with him.

Lol that's a joke right? A nobody in the Brazilian league being compared to Busquets?!
And yes of course Madrid, PSG, City and others are interesteed in every player Barca wants and of course the player rejects the better offers to join Barca.

There is comparison, and there is example to show a point. two different things.
And if you don't think interest is real, how would you ever know if the player has interest from other clubs?

If the price is around 20m then ok sign him and loan him to an European club even better a liga club and not keep him in the Brazilian league like some reports say.

You are not making any point there at all. Two very different cases with no similarities at all, so you can't use one of them as an example to prove something in the other.
