Arthur should take Rakitic's role in the team or Busi's when Raki covers the DM, not Vidal's.

Man what a difference with this guy on the pitch. Such a important clog in our midfield.

Great cameo today and played a wonderful ball that Suarez should've scored. He was playing very progressively and keeping our offense on the front foot. Hope to see him partner either Vidal or Coutinho soon.

With Vidal's good performances and energy he deserves to start, and we'll need him in those games and Busquets + Rakitic can be as shit as they want and have a guaranteed starting spot.

So that leaves Arthur out.

IMO yes. We have the physicality and energy as well as tenacity defensively we need with Arturo Vidal. In fact if I was Valverde I would try a midfield two with Vidal and Arthur as the DM and push Coutinho up as an AM allowing Messi to stay wider to the RW.

So benching both Rakitic and Busquets. At least in some games and see how it works. Perhaps try that against Levante in the CDR.

The Rakitic-Busi Paring is going the way of every once successful Midfield pairing and all it takes is father time to get one of them and it's no longer effective as it once was. Happened to Xavi-Iniesta and it's happening to Rakitic and Busi. Iniesta saw what was going so he decided to leave as he felt he no longer had the legs to be a starter here anymore.

With Rakitic and Busi, they're both declining at the same time with both Rakitic and Busi losing the Mobility and Physicality, especially in Busi's case with the physicality and a number of other issues. Both players can work well with the likes of Arthur and Vidal providing, Energy, Workate and ablity on the ball.

Both Rakitic and Busi should no longer play together as starters for the majority of the matches. With both of them on the field together they both look feeble and helpless trying to defend and cover ground in the Midfield.
