"Perez claims that Neymar had a medical in 2013 but he actually didn't? What's the purpose? It would be a straight up lie and Perez doesn't gain anything from it."

He gains many things like pride, saying he the one who rejected Neymar signings not the other way around, justifying to angry Madrididtas why he lost signing Neymar's to Barcelona. That's just off the top of my head.

While Bartomeu lied about a mega business transaction to justify his failure to find a plan B. He said Liverpool asked for an unreasonable amount of money when the fact is FSG released a public statement saying Coutinho wasn't for sale.

Perez made that statement this year in June, not in 2013. There is no reason for Madridistas to be angry about anything in 2017 which would force Perez to save face with such a straight up lie. Anyhow, Perez is the man who said "STFU" when fans were crying for Özil to stay during Bale's presentation, kicked out fan favourite Ancelotti to hire Benitez etc. As if Perez needed to justify anything to anyone.

People said the same about Perez lying in 2013 when he said the total cost of Neymar would have been € 150 million and that's why Real didn't sign him. Now we all know Perez was actually right and the € 57 million figure was a joke.

Congrats on your marrige dude

Thanks. :)

Thanks. :)

Real did bid more for Neymar. Perez is full of it.

Hey!

I got married. Football had to take a back step. The timing was perfect, I didn't have to suffer through Madrid winning back-to-back CLs too much.

Congrats! That is very convenient timing, though the shitstorm you're returning to now can't be that appealing . Hopefully we don't have to suffer through another season of RM success or it might well drive us all insane.

He's not going to get the votes needed, the pipe dream is over. If he could only get 3k on a match day on Saturday against Espanyol, then he's going to get even less the next few matches.

Doesn't look like he's a good organiser. One tent? He should have volunteers (should be easy to find among young people) to go door to door to socis.

The performance of the team is also a big factor. A 5-0 vs Pericos doesn't help. If game vs Juve is decent too I don't see any chance that he will get 16k.

Apparently he's now got 4 tents and a team of 100 going around personally collecting soci info. Hopefully the change in approach leads to the boost needed.

Hes ahead of the game.

One tent = bigger queues to publish photos of.

Anyone who wants to vote will have ample opportunity. Doubt they expected a lot of numbers queuing up before and after the game.

If he has your attitude then, of course, he will fail. Voting started on the 8th so after only 2 days he has collected 3000k and it seems that Benedito was happy. Now tomorrow is a bigger match and will probably collect more votes, so assume he will collect 5k then this will make it 8k in 5 days and has 10 WORKING days to go.

The dispute is whether to count the weekend as working days. Independent panel will decide and probably in Benedito's favor so 26 of Sep is the deadline. He can still collect signatures when Barca paly agaisnt Eibar at home.

I don't expect more signatures tomorrow than he had against Espanyol. That's 3000 less people likely to vote already.

But maybe this new stuff he organised will be an impuls he needs.

Big day for him.

Has to make this count today and hopefully he has strategically planned to make voting more accessible to socis.

-Benedito's team installed 4 signature collection points on match days at the stadium, the maximum allowed by the club.
-To prevent fans from spending too much time queuing, almost 100 members of Benedito's work team will move around camp nou with a folder & mobile phone to photograph the DNI of the fan interested in offering his signature, to streamline the process.
