We saw many of those great decisions this WC, his best string of games ever? Fucking up many counters sending poor passes and being selfish. Inconsistent as hell. Neymar's twice the player.

Exactly. Neymar is the 3rd highest scoring player in Brazil's national team history, it's hysterical that people's bias can't let them admit how superior Neymar is to Hazard in that area. Hazard did a lot of dribbling, that's what I noticed. He was a very successful dribbler.

Being a great dribbler doesn't win Champion's League, or the Olympics, or League titles, or help your team qualify for Champion's League or score goals. Objectively Neymar is vastly superior to Hazard.

Neymar also is better at set pieces(free-kicks corners).

When it comes to this player some people just make up shit as they go along.

(a) He's "inconsistent" - Player of the year or young player of the year in 4 of his 5 seasons in France. Team of the year in 4 of his 5 seasons in France.
Player of the year of Young Player of the year in 4 of his 6 seasons in England. Team of the year in 4 of the last five seasons in England.
The only bad season Hazard has had in his career which people love to point to is 2015/2016 in which he was playing injured with a growth spurt in his thigh.

(b) He's "overrated" - Well, if anything he's serially underrated. He'll be a massive problem alongside Modric, Bale, Isco, Kroos and Marcelo down the left. Playing for 2 of the 3 most defensive minded high profile managers in modern European football in Mourinho and Conte. Still managed to shine bright despite that.

Hazard plays in an actual attack minded Belgian team for an attack minded manager in Martinez and alongside some top quality players and he's arguably the BEST PLAYER in the World Cup. Yeah he's "overrated" alright.

(c) "All Hazard does is dribble". Yeah right. Yet he's consistently been the most/one of the most creative players in the Premier League. If he had world class players around him and/or actually played in a sophisticated attacking system like the likes of Pep, Klopp, Tuchel and Sarri coach these "created chances" - "assists":

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Chances created from open play since 2014/15 in the premier league <a href="https://t.co/f8bOHdU2kz">https://t.co/f8bOHdU2kz</a> <a href="https://t.co/DOLDD9gMdP">pic.twitter.com/DOLDD9gMdP</a></p>— /r/ChelseaFC (@redditchelseafc) <a href="https://twitter.com/redditchelseafc/status/993608995532230656?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 7, 2018</a></blockquote>
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Just get off his jock and admit he's one of the best in the world haters. And "If"/"When" he signs for Madrid he's going to be a headache for Barcelona especially if they can consolidate with a world class striker like Lewandowski. Hazard's all round game is far superior to a 33 yr Ronaldo's who just takes shots from outside the box at will and camps in the penalty box. Hazard can rip open defenses on his own.

Hazard reminds me of Modric. People underrated him because he played for Tottenham, Fabregas used to be regarded as a better player back in 2011/2012/2013. He joined Madrid and people suddenly realised he's a ridiculous talent & he's going down as one of the best midfielders ever.

Same thing will happen to Hazard once he leaves the shithole that is Chelsea. People that actually watch him know he's Top 3 & is held back by ultra-defensive managers & average teammates.

He doesn't have a single weakness in his game. He isn't inconsistent & his finishing is actually fantastic. He just doesn't get as much chances because of who he plays for & teams defend him like they do Messi despite not being as good.

Say all you want about his qualities but we dont need him. We dont need to extremely ball heavy playmaker when we already have Messi.

Whether or not his finishing is good or "he scores less goals because his teammates is shit", that's his style of play. He's going to be creating goals for players like Costa and scoring goals when he sees the chance. He's not going to be a heavy goalscorer because that's not his main strengths.

And as much as I hate Neymar, he clearly has some superiority over Hazard in terms of speed, shot power and better striker instinct although his finishing is very off in the World Cup and didnt convert his chances as well.

He would only be a great signing for Real Madrid if they can bring in a top #9 as well, because Hazard just will not produce the sorts of numbers that Real Madrid need/expect.

Hazard dribbling is better only with space. In tight space Neymar is a better dribbler
neymar dribbling is even more unpredictable, Hazard's dribbling is very much based on his acceleration. Neymar take the edge in all others aspects

he doesn't have the mentality currently to be the main man at Madrid. whether he makes that step up (i think he will) remains to be seen though.

4231 is already a disaster.

I don't disagree but what formation would you play and where would you put Messi if we'd sign Hazard? It would most likely be Hazard-Messi-Coutinho; Suarez.

But we won't sign him so this debate is pointless.

According to Le 10 Sport Chelsea and Real agreed on a 190M deal for Hazard.
False!

A colossal £170million transfer fee hasn’t been agreed with Chelsea as yet, despite one report in France (that will tell you something else in 6h). Real Madrid still exploring the Eden Hazard transfer with meetings planned, but what will Chelsea do?

Well, with that money, Abramovich will be able to pay out his ex-wife...

Your post was good till this part.
Rakitic has a better allround game than Messi, since Messi doesn't run, move or defend.

Your last part almost sounds as if Hazard is a better player than Cr7 or as if Hazard's game will be good enough to guide them to a CL glory without CR7.

Highly unlikely.

While I obviously don't want Hazard here, he's not what we need right now, there's no doubting he's a really good player. I'd have Hazard over Neymar any day. People saying Neymar's finishing is better - please, he has piss poor finishing - except for treble season, that's always been his Achilles heel; no end product.

Plus, Hazard is a much smarter player, has better IQ and vision and doesn't roll around as much as Neymar nowadays, he has really cleaned up his act compared to what he was earlier. Put him in a more talented squad than Chelsea, and he will surely do well.

He's exactly what we need right now (alongside another MF signing), our front 3 is currently way too unbalanced. If Coutinho is our new AM, then Hazard for Suarez makes our front 3 a lot better, as Hazard can actually utilize pace, and beat opponents.
