Teams that have knocked us out in the CL: Juventus, Atletico and Roma. Heck, PSG should have knocked us out had they not been mental midgets.

We are NOT good enough. Stop lying to yourself. Barcelona is not one of the top 3 or top 5 teams in Europe anymore. A top 3 or top 5 European team would have made at least one semi-final the last three years and not gotten humiliated vs Juventus, almost humiliated vs PSG and then gotten destroyed the way we were in Roma.

There is a lot to change in the current team. We're not going to go anywhere until we fix our RB situation, until we upgrade on Rakitic and whoever is supposed to be the LCM in the midfield now. Until we realize Suarez if finished at this level, and we move on, and until we get a manager that is a winner and knows his priorities which is La Liga + CL and not La Liga + CDR.

Well said! Pretty much how I feel about this team. Just face the fact that we are not top 5 team anymore. We need to make some changes to be top5 team again. Rakitic needs to be sold for someone younger and faster. This team needs more hunger not more spoiled entitled old players. We n3ed players who really want to win.

No, we are definitely one of the best teams in the world, not the best, of course, but among elites. We still manage to do well in the most demanding league in the world, that has to be taken into consideration. And not just CL.

It's a shame it's like this while we have one of the best in history on the team and after our golden generation, but there'll be much dimmer times in the future.

If we get a world class RB, replace Suarez with an excellent striker and strengthen our midfield, we'll be a perfect team. Every team can have its flaws. You don't need to be perfect to win.

I'm strictly talking about the CL, and there we are not one of the best teams in the competition anymore. A top 3 team doesn't take the beatings we've done or go out to Roma the way we did.

And we'll not get a WC RB since Roberto is the blue eyed boy and we won't replace Suarez and we won't sign any midfielder apart from Arthur, and in all likelihood, Valverde will not change his approach.

So be prepared for more of the same in the CL next season.

We don't have a leader on the field either, another problem. Neither Iniesta nor Messi have that type of character. They're quite type and lead by example but it's not enough, and the most shameful thing about the Roma defeat was the lack of balls and grit we showed. The defeat was forthcoming the whole entire fucking game and no one woke up and cracked some fucking heads out there.

We have to look at the managers too. It's always a risk in CL when you hire managers with no experience in this competition.

Would help if the manager was a leader, but we're stuck with Ernesto who's biggest achievement is winning the Spanish Supercopa against us.

Not a club legend either, nor very charismatic.

There isn't only the CL.

Since 2015 Barca won 1 CL, 3 ligas and 4 copa del rey. The trophies show we're still one of the best teams in the world even if it's true we're underperforming in the CL.

You just can't have a manager like him when there's no leader in the team.

3 seasons is a lot of underperforming in CL. Next season we're bound to face bigger teams too. We were lucky with draws this year.

If you're talking about the CL, I agree. We are inept for the competition.

Exactly. We faced poor Chelsea and then Rome. No way any elite team goes out vs those teams.

We had great chance this season, but we blew it.

Still since 2015 who can say to have done better?

Juve got in the final twice but lost both times. Is it better to win a final and get out in the quarter-finals or losing two finals in 4 years?

It's better to get past the QFs the last three years which Juventus have managed to do, ironically by beating us 3-0.

Three years is a long time in a competition that runs every single season. You can stay happy with these QFs exits topped with humiliation and believe everything is perfect if you want to, though.

Wouldn't do a damn to me.
