Wow: for the first time in the history of Real Madrid, at this point of the season no players have scored more than 4 league goals! (via @2010MisterChip )

Hell of a stat.

this season is just mad! i'm waiting for Madrid to bounce back but theres no sign of it, though in the CL they are usually a different beast the PSG tie could get really ugly. would Perez dare sack Zidane before the seasons end?

I believe the answer to this question is yes, if they lose to P$G.

Good teams find ways to win matches like Madrid were last season, now they're finding ways to lose.

Zidane is a much bigger fraud than Lucho. He won his first CL of easy draws, the league off late clutch goals and his second CL via offside goals.

The only part he can take some credit for is giving Madrid a bit of a lift in morale after his initial hiring and man managing his players well enough to get them to perform last season. Now that honeymoon shine, dressing room morale and respect he got from Madrid's players have worn out he's getting exposed for the tactical novice he is.

Word "fraud" is so easily throwed around here on forum, fraud compare to who? Zidane was never compared to greatest coach, but can we really call him fraud? Guy picked up team in the middle of the season right after they lost 0:4 from barca, it was 10 point difference and they almost catched barca in the end, they won CL that season, lucky? Yes, but you just need little luck sometimes to win that competition ( barca under pep also needed a bit o luck even when they were called greatest team in history), season after they won it again, pretty much blowing every club on the way, then juve in the finals

Its his 3rd season, he didnt bring anyone, mbappe was his wish, morata left, james also, they are weaker and maybe zidane cant motivate them anymore.

Even valverde was fraud untill el classico, now he is good...

They just got Costa back. Far from over.

Yeah, as unlikely an Atletico Madrid La Liga title looks atm, I also think Costa's return has bolstered them sufficiantly both in terms of quality and mental fortitude that they'll be able to bite on to our heels and not let go until it's mathmatically impossible for them to win it.

It must be difficult for some of Barcaforum's Expert Transfer Analysts to understand how Real's incredible, smart and efficient transfer policies have left them in ruins.

Zidane analysis of the match today if anyone is interested.

WOW what a fantastic tactical analysis! :D

Sorry Zinedine but you had your share of luck in the past two years, now it’s actually time for you to show some managerial skills.

The true ability of a manager is tested when they're faced with adversity. We got smacked by Madrid in the SuperCopa, Neymar left and Dembele got injured in his third match. What did Valverde do, he adapted the team to get the most out of them through a tough time and now we're flying on all fronts.

This is the first season Zidane is truly facing any adversity, he had no pressure in his first season since he was taking over midseason and got easy draws to win the CL. In his second season all of Madrid's players played out of their minds, got last minute winners and got favourable breaks. Now with a lot of his bench leaving, not getting Mbappe and the squad's motivation level dipping what does he do in response? He plays the same broken lineup and exposed tactics every match expecting different results.

The two are not remotely comparable, one adapted to overcome the predicament he found himself in and the other decided to be oblivious to it and allowed it to snowball.

Real Madrid losing this game doesn't change our chances of winning the league much since Atletí were already the bigger threat ahead of this round
