Why is everyone here obsessed with dribbling? Completed take on stats don't win titles. A balanced team of quality players does. Ronaldo is very good at what he does and it's getting the final touch to finish off a move.

Not really. Ronaldo would have more likely sent that free kick to sky.
And with ronaldo the team is actually playing with 10 players in build up play. So, it is illogical to automatically assume the same amount of chances would be created with Ronaldo too. (By the way, we also have our own version of Cristiano in the name of Suarez, who can't even pass the bass and the team is basically 10 players with him. He can contribute to pressuring the opponent though).

Ronaldo would have scored a few. Never missing the chances Benzema did. Been done and dusted long before and equalising free kick the keeper fucked up on.

Isnt 10 men at all with him in build up. Constantly moving off ball and into better areas than anyone ive ever seen.

It matters when we are talking about POTY and GOATs. Alot of players scored hundreds of goals and won numerous titles (Inzaghi being prime example), but no body argued they were world beaters.

They have nothing with Asensio though who is awesome player. Very clinical and clutch.

Can't wait until he slide tackles the shit out of all RM players. The closest player we've had to Fellaini. Modric and Asensio will be scared shitless when they see him in the starting lineup for the clasico.

He's better than fellaini

Sure. But then again someone would take those chances Zaza had as well. They are not untouchable in defense at all.

Dribbling is actually running with the ball past your opponent. Hence, dribbling and passing are the two most fundamental parts of the game. Even the defender need to be good in these fundamental aspects.

It's true that Ronaldo is very good at what he does i.e. scoring. But the problem is he is good only at that particular aspect. Apart from the 1 or 2 total amount of minutes Ronaldo have the ball near the goal, he is basically a one player minus in the team. That's the team is constantly building up play with 10 players for the entire 90 minutes. And that's why when Ronaldo doesn't play Real Madrid are actually better in the build up and they could create chances systematically more.

Hence, apart from the marketability and Sponsorships Real Madrid gets, Cristiano is negatively impacting the team.

If you look at the greatest forwards of all time one of their strongest aspects would certainly be Dribbling. Be it Maradona, Pele, Cruyff, Best, Di Stefano.

You might be a great player with strong passing and positional abilities if you're a midfielder. But for a forward, you need to dribble. Otherwise you can't participate in the build up play which seriously degrades the overall efficiency of the team play.
