Mourinho arrived with a team devastated after Alex Ferguson. The team could not be competitive in any competition.

He is giving an aura of victory for the team, being always competitive in all the competitions he contests. Maybe it's a taste of game philosophy that appeals to some and not to others.

devastated team? lol

How many millions they spent before Mourinho? ManU has been a mess for a long time.

They had just won the FA Cup and finished in top four.

Were crap to watch under LVG but not unable to be competitive in any competition.

Manchester United lost his identity after the retirement of Alex Ferguson. David Moyes and Van Gaal were unable to create an identity at the club, a game standard. Be competitive? NEVER.

Mourinho has had his flaws but ended up with two cups raised and this season, with all the mistakes and level of bad weekly play, United makes a solid campaign in PL and is alive in UCL.

I agree that with the money spent, it is possible to achieve a more showy football. But United has played well many times last season and the team simply does not win. He created countless chances for goals and did not score. Mourinho sought balance.

Mourinho found the antidote to stop Pep at the end of his spell in Spain and found a way to soften the excellent attacks of Liverpool of Klopp, like no other can. It is absurdly annoying to play vs Mourinho. First that your team is a stronghold in big games, difficult to undergo attacks. Secondly, his attack is always well-armed strategies to exploit the opponent's weakness.

Mourinho is the smartest coach in the world. He with 10 days of study and training can make his team (no matter the players) play in 50/50 conditions against any other. That is why he is the most feared in Knockout stages.

The PL runner-up will end as a great job, even by CIty's absurd campaign. I do not like the model, but it should be noted that United finished sixth last season, had a giant breakthrough. Let's see next season.

PL is "stronger" just on the money front. That's why it's hailed as the strongest league in the world.

Pep has arguably weaker squad that Barca/Real and look what he is doing.

He looks and sounds so stressed, angry, frustrated and agitated and it's satisfying to see him like that lol

Looks like a certain goal record is about to be broken this season, 31 goals(Ronaldo, Shearer, Suarez), it was always going to happen at some point.

They don't just accept it.. they fucking defend the turd  some are finally waking up and want him gone but I guess 2nd place in the PL will secure his job for another season, especially considering how good this City are

He wasn't wrong here, people criminally underrate Seville. They are really good team with very good players who on their day can knock out any team in Europe with very limited exceptions. He was nervous and defensive but not wrong.

Hmm, they do underrate Sevilla, but it's an overstatement to say they can knock out any team in Europe on their day. Bayern will make an easy job of them. They're 5th in La Liga after all. And if they are not careful they might miss european football next season.

They are bad in Liga under Montella so far but very good in cup, their squad is very good.
I said with few exceptions, which I would say Barca, City and may be Bayern and RM. I was fully expecting them to take Manu out weeks before first tie.
And I am not sure how good Bayern this year tbf, their dominance in Bundesliga could be misleading and they are yet to face decent team in CL that we can have a proper assessment for them, could be overrated or the best team in Europe, have no idea right now
