deserved lead by spurs .. they played much better than liverpool and created more chances.. fun first half, everything a foot fan would want to see.

its not just the quality.. the infrastructure helps. wembley is simply glorious, some of the stadiums in laliga looks so dim that i wouldnt be interested if the classico was to be played there. the epl is leading the market for various reasons and the facilities are really helping.

What for? To have him rot in the stands in the CL?

Liverpool just need someone with a set of balls to tell them how to clear the ball and be a leader at the back. Mascherano would do for a season. Anyone around or over 30 who has some experience.

Mascherano more likely to return to play for River after the WC.

Perhaps even the MLS.

Besides, they have more issues than lacking a leader in the backline.

Their LB is Moreno. They have no proper DM. Wijnaldum is the classic jack of all trades, master of none. Naby Keita is an AM or B2B MF at best. Can also a B2B MF.

Not to forget their GK problem.

They're a top heavy team with a shit defence.

True true. Henderson is cancer. Trusting him with paying attention and organising the team on counters is like cleaning dog's teeth with your bellend.
Moreno was OK this season, not good, not absolutely terrible like he used to be.

But leadership is a main issue. It tends to resolve problems quickly and give players a bit of needed confidence. Players like Clyne or Matip would thrive with a Mascherano-type player holding them together. Klopp just needs to realise that and go for it in winter. Or come summer time (or sooner) he'll get a sack and they'll try to get someone like Ancelotti to try and sort it out. Don't think the board will be patient with him if they don't get anywhere near the 4th spot this year.
