They bought Karius for his ability to play out the back and be a sweeper keeper but so far he hasn't shown any of that and he's weak at a lot of things as well.

Just an average Goalkeeper.

Most keepers who played in Germany are like this these days. I've seen Neuer and Burki do this multiple times. It's just something about the keeping drills down there.
