Maybe the longer it drags on for the more chance we have of signing the lad ??

Barca and PSG both pulled out, only Juve in the race so its surely a matter time now

interestingly, United offered 70mil for Maguire but Leicester want 90mil. i'd say if De Ligt carries on his progression, that 150mil buyout clause for a CB might not be so outlandish in 2-3 years time

No chance, all ships are sailing toward Neymar's direction. We would have tried more if Neymar wasn't in the picture.

Our problems in the last 2 seasons are: having an unproductive attack aside from Messi and a slow, aging midfield. Since we took care of the midfield with De Jong, it was only normal to bring a worldclass attacker.
De Ligt is not a priority, even if otherwise we would have got him.

We won't be able to fit those stars and have a competitive balanced team at the same time.

Reports out suggesting we can afford Griezman and Neymar

We can't, unless we sell Dembele, Coutinho, Malcom and Rakitić. We still need to get 70 million in sales for Griezmann's transfer alone, as I think Atleti won't accept payment in 3 installations.

Yes, but there is an important thing to note. We have just taken a 140 million loan from US banks just before that. A part of that 221 million went for Cou to cover some loans, a part for Arthur, a part of that for Vidal, a part for Lenglet. I doubt there is more than 50 million of that left.

Mind that last financial year is from July 1st 2018 until July this year. In the last season, we made 5 million profit, including some of these sales, according Transfermarkt. This season we are currently standing at -15 million in balance.

So, we might have made 221 million in sales, but we already spent more in the same time window; 232 million according to Transfermarkt.
