MilitĂŁo is almost half his price. It will be interesting to see how good he will be.

Ajax want to buy Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Man United (he already played in the Ajax Youth Academy).
Maybe United want to use him for a deal with De Ligt ?

Don't see it happen myself. Man United will not win any prices with the current squad. Rather see him playing at Liverpool. So he can form a duo with v Dijk.

Other than Real pretty much every club is interested in De Ligt. But his price might be a problem for some clubs; 70-80m for an 19y old defender.
Don't matter how good he is. It's a bit of a gamble.

80m is too much.

Well Barca paid 86mil for Frenkie
De Ligt is a bigger talent than Frenkie, he is their captain, and won the Golden Boy Award.

Don't see him leaving for anything lower than 70m.

His price might even get higher when they win against Real.
Ajax is a funny team. They can lose from shit teams like Heracles, but on a good day they can beat the best teams in the world.

Or Barca can use Suarez + Money to get MDL. In an interview a few years ago he mentioned that returning to Ajax was one his wishes.

We paid €75 million for FDJ with €11 million extra as potential bonus. Midfielders are always more expensive than CB's, in particular midfielders in the mould of FDJ. There are numerous talented CB's out there. Not the case with "FDJ type of midfielders".

Are you Dutch by any chance?

No way they're coming from 2-1 behind at Bernabeu! That's impossible

Some people say he’s the Mbappe of defenders. De Ligt is really good. But you also paying for the hype. He’s young, and still making mistakes sometimes (everyone does). He still has a lot to learn.

There are definitely cheaper options. You can get a 33y old Godin for cheap this summer for example (free agent). And you have an established worldclass defender for 2-3 years.
Or you can buy De Ligt (bit more risky) and if he fulfills his potential. He can be your captain for the next 10 years.

It’s all about taking risks and thinking ahead. What clubs are willing to take the risk, to pay that much for the biggest defending talent at the moment.
I don’t know his exact price. The media is only speculating.
But some journalists say, he won’t be cheaper than Frenkie.

Beside that, Liverpool have set the benchmark with the Van Dijk fee.

Guess we'll have to wait and see

P.S. I think Ajax was the better team at home. And they should have won.
But yes chances are low they will win in Madrid.
But if they can play the same way like they did at home. You never know what can happen.

I hope Ajax get out of the competition early if we want to get this guy. It'll will just increase his hype, which will further increase his already inflated price.

The more they advance in the CL, the lesser the bargaining power we have, & more possible suitors.

The big problem for Ajax right now is that they are not clinical enough. Their football is entertainment to watch, but they miss A LOT of chances.
Madrid can finish the job, even when the opponent is much better.

Ramos was really great against Ajax. But his conscious yellow card was a bit arrogant.
They lost 3 times this season without Ramos. This will only increase the chances of Ajax.

Ajax ain't scared, and they will pressure Real hard at Bernabeu. Madrid wil probably play on the counter-attack.
De Ligt plays with a lot of space behind him. So it will be an interesting game to watch.

Another fantastic performance in last night's 0-4 victory over Feyenoord, capped it off with a goal and clean sheet too. We need to get this kid, no matter the price.
