Mateu Morey

Top, top talent.
Hopefully he stays and it wouldn't be too difficult for him to break into the first team as long as he gets the chance since both Semedo and Roberto are not really promisinig.

He is an elite talent, no doubt.
But his situation doesn't make me optimistic,

-This is last year in contract and no news on renewal after already considering to leave last year, remember he joined Barca just 3 years ago.So there is the potential he leaves.

-Big injury in the worst timing for a youngster, same things happened to Grimaldo & Munisia and really set them back. Hopefully he is able to pick up quickly.

-Wague signing? They are very close in age (just 17 month apart) and Wague has way higher experience and already established himself as starter in B team, though I doubt he will continue with B team beyond this year, Barca also trying to get a deal with Betis to sign Emerson(Brazilian RB) so we own 25% of his rights and option to buy.

Those things can all be cleared by end of the year if he comes back healthy and plays well while renewing his contracts. But until then I will probably have higher hopes for Wague despite Morey being the top talent in the position in the academy

Any news on him? Both about contract situation and injury

From what I have seen this dude could be a massive RB.

Bummer if he leaves, better not to a direct rival.

I am sure we have tried everything to retain him. There is not much we can do if he is adamant to leave.

Bayern Munich wanted him last season. Not sure if they still want him. We can keep good talents in the B team, but we cannot keep the very good ones and I cannot really blame them. We should loan more often.

He's pretty smart to reject. His first team chances are admittedly next to nil with Roberto, Semedo, and Wague all in front of him. Will be interesting to see what he can do with his career going forward and if he develops into his potential enough to make a return something worth considering.
