Coutinho the "midfielder" playing further up the field than the striker Paco. Such is life.

No wonder we had no control yesterday, Rakitic was the only one actually sticking to his position and playing in midfield.
He is a forward. This midfield story is a pipe dream... Just because he can play there doesn’t mean he should.

Barcelona should look at getting another CM other than Arthur if Iniesta leaves to be quite honest. Aleñá won’t get the minutes under Valverde.

You're welcome
It isn't a pipedream. It just takes Valverde to give him different instructions. If the fans can easily spot him too much up front so can the team, so he's obviously given that freedom in those matches.
If he will do the same against tougher opposition then yeah...he is not adapting well....unless it is already planned Barca will revert to 4-3-3 next season with midfield reinforced and he is used this way to get a taste for goal in anticipation of coming season.

That's all good and well but he has only ever played the type of role you speak of on a handful of occasions. Even when starting as part of a 3 man midfield for Liverpool he basically formed part of a front 4. Let's not forget that he played as a wing (left and right) for Inter, Espanyol and Brazil too. Upfront is where he excels.

Tebas.... more than a month before last years. Hopefully we walk past Roma and have even more rest later on in the season.

Stop polluting the thread then. I've had it with you and dragging the forum down.

This is your final warning before you go The Great One route.

I'm confused - where else can we show displeasure in the manager of not in this thread ??

If it was an appreciation thread then I obviously wouldn't post negative comments ..

How am I dragging the forum down when I mainly post positive things - I'm one of the few who have been supportive of Gomes when most have been slaughtering him relentlessly.

I have issues with our style of play and also with Rakitic passing sideways or backwards.
