I am watching Lpool-PSG. Their way of playing and their speed is 10 light years ahead of us!

If we want a chance in the second half of the season (CL) it's time to start bringing in Arthur, Malcom, Lenglet, and even Vidal more into the fold to go along with the likes of Dembele and Coutinho.

We don't need to go Lucho crazy in regards to rotating 90% of the team. Having three of them on the field partnering up with some vets would come a long way getting them up to speed and helping so much down the line and having some of the vets be more rested and prepared for the CL.

Liverpool we wouldn't beat (obviously). Could go either way against PSG.

Well it’s hard to tell would we beat them or not, overal players quality is still on our side but we have Valverde and they have Klop. What is certain is that their football is much more exciting than ours.

We couldn't handle the intensity. We would get murdered at Anfield, like every CL away games last few years.

Even under Pep and that mighty Barca we were bad in away games in CL, especially the knock-out stages, do you remember that ? That's why he won only 2CLs, one of them in 2009 with a huge luck in the semis (2nd match) at Stamford Bridge when we had 1 shot on target for the whole match - Iniesta's 93rd minute equalizer. So we have chronic problem in CL (away) games for years with different managers and squads !

He spits out the same speech before every game about how dangerous the opposition are.
Luckily we have fantastic individual players because we are sterile in play style.

The way he sets up the team isn't anything special or revolutionary. Still feels like we're winning with Messi brilliance.

One thing is for sure. From the next game Valverde will need to start rotating. We have really hard October ahead of us and high level performance from more than 11 players will be needed. Girona is the perfect game to start Semedo, Arthur, Malcom, Vidal and Lenglet.

We only won champion league titles when we played under a good system, even under Lucho 14/15 we had a solid system and philosophy. We don't have a system now, we reliant on players magic which won't take us too far.

He's not a terrible coach by any means and some of his ideas he talked about such as keeping control and stuff did remind me of Barca.

But his rigid conservative style of managing is not the right fit for this team, especially long term. It's why I find it baffling that Barto wants to keep Valverde long term going by his interview on El Transistor (Onda Cero).

I just can't see him being the man to help transition away from the likes of Pique, Suarez, Rakitic, Alba, Busi etc and start grooming potential successors.

Lucho was hated here like hell.

But Lucho was a better coach which made us play better football.
Also he had more character.

People hated on Lucho only in his last season. And there are perfectly good reasons for that.

BTW When Valverde makes a comeback like Lucho's PSG, most of the hatred against him will disappear . But he kinda did the opposite with Roma ...
