A midfield 3 with Rakitic-Busqeuts and any of the other midfield options together would not work defensively. Raki and Busi are turtle slow and we could get overrun in the middle. Croatia made it work with Raki because they had more mobile players in Brezovic and Modric covering.

We play with Busi-Rakitic for 4 years already.
We won 3 La Ligas in 4 years.
I get your point, but it is not as if they lost 90% of their pace in the last 2 Months.
If we were able to play with turtle granny physically weak Iniesta, turtle Raki, turtle Busi, we'll probably survive with Rafinha/Arthur/Rabiot/De Jong in La Liga.
For a CL, either way, we lack strength, we lack different attacking weapons in attack, courage and similar.
Imo, we won't be that different/weaker than last season when we won a double.
