Roberto playing instead of Rakitic should help. Andd we will have to sign a player in Coutinho's (read Iniesta) profile!!

Exactly. The right side with Roberto at RB and Rakitic has been awful for years.

Rakitic isn't creative for shit and Roberto at RB isn't either so we are stuck with zero creativity in the right side.
It's worse since we played a well known defensive team. when you need guys who can unlock the bus.

Rakitic used to be a workhorse. Now that his speed is shit and doesn't cover anyone he quickly became shit. Good couple of years but it is over. Roberto should be the the starter. Roberto Busi Coutinho is the way to go. If Coutinho is not signed then Denis or Rafinha should get the chances with Iniesta playing important matches and being an impact sub in matches against minnows.

So much negativity. Lineup was good. He dropped worthless Paco and played Vidal who normally plays good as RW.
Semedo probably didn't play as he is a new guy and it's a tough away game so he went for safer option in Roberto.
We were without Suarez and Dembele and still looked more dominating than season before.

Still not convinced by Valverde. From top to bottom, on and off the field we are a mess. There is no real plan and now we have another manager who keeps tinkering.
A big part of the problem is that alot of these managers are trying to recreate Pep's Barca but we don't have the players for it. So we keep ending up with this weird hybrid of slow possession and counter attack with a clueless midfield.
I wish Valverde had a solid blueprint and style. At the moment we look mediocre and when we face a decent team we will be exposed yet again.
