Valverde was a small player and today a small coach.
In 1988, Ernesto Valverde and a player from Espanyol, after being transferred to FC Barcelona under the direction of Johan Cruijff. Valverde spends two seasons at Barça, he never succeeded
because of its very low level. He joined Athletic Bilbao under the direction of Javier Clemente. He remained there between 1990 and 1996 and scored 50 goals in 188 matches. Valverde ends his playing career at RCD Mallorca.

He played a match with the Spanish team on October 10, 1990 against Iceland.

Once again your post has personal insults, thank you for proving my point.

As for the "substance" of your post, it falls apart completely in the third sentence where you call me a "Valverde backer". I'm a "Valverde backer" who wanted Barca to move on from him in the summer, even before the first leg of the Liverpool game.

Guys like BBZ, havesaks, Wolfe, khaled and the new tackle guy are essential for the forum. They provide a counterbalance to the “group think” on this forum and without them it wouldn’t be worth reading.

They might not always be right, but they are right a lot of the time, they present their arguments in a reasonable and intellectual way and make many salient points.

Contrast that with the other guys who spend most of their time writing like 12 year olds and throwing around personal insults.

Huh? Guys like Havesaks and Tackle, even Horatio and Ursegor are the epitome of your last paragraph.

So does it mean only those who doesn't agree with Valverde throw personal insults? Way to cherrypick a few bad users to make us look bad and then the users you mentioned are not even reasonable most of the time. And I could have mentioned a couple more who has gone missing.

One thing about Valverde supporters: they have a tendency to be sanctimonious just to "win over arguments" easily, because they have nothing else to add really. Things like "you're fake Barca fan" etc.

So much for this greater good or "counterbalance" lol. I agree that having some discussion is great, but to say some of us are 12 year olds, especially with the huge influx of Valverde troll accounts is just laughable, who insults the forum all day especially even before the Liverpool game where most of them said a treble is going to "shut up the haters".

And you call that mentality of a champion  "Was great in the first leg, not so much away" is just another way of saying "it is what it is".

Thats not the mentality that wins the CL. These guys just going "our season was so magnificent and extraordinary" and downplay the back to back humiliation in CL as just a loss, a little accident, don't have it in them any longer. They don't seem to care at all. "It is what it is" words of a true fighter :)

If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.
Rakitic is the first player Valverde puts in his line ups so of course he is happy. In a normal world he should be sold this summer.

.. and the new tackle guy are essential for the forum....
they present their arguments in a reasonable and intellectual way and make many salient points.

So calling Arthur a „fat shite“ is your standard of reasonable and intellectual? Noted.

He is one of those who are further away from Barça's style. After arriving at the club in 2017, he adopted a defensive system instead of playing football.
66% of Catalans voted no on its extension of contract.
Between the pros and the anti-Valverde have given rise to a fight of two visions of football, one conservative and wants to stay on his past (tiki taka) and the other evolutive who wants to detach himself from the past by thinking that the Tiki Taka is finished.
In reality, it's not over, tiki taka never existed, it's a caricature of the game of guardiola, Barça has never played tiki taka.
Guardiola's tactics have always been pragmatic. It has a specific purpose: to be effective, you have to go to the other side and move forward, it is clear that it is best to keep the ball is the best tool to get there and not hurry, to be active so as not to be in a difficult situation or in a situation of passivity.
But several tools are at its disposal depending on the situation: possession football used in Barcelona or vertical in Manchester.

I'm sure you guys will love this gem.

Enjoy!

Damn yet another important playerwho gives public backing to Valverde. Where were the Juventus players for Allegri or the Madird players for Lope and Solari or even the United players for Mourinho.

Valverde's man mangmenet may be criminally underrated according to Herrera EV is one of the best managers in the world at keeping the squad happy

Valverde is an antipode of Guardiola. His general idea of the game is to resist, be strong, defend well and pray for an offensive feat to win the match. This largely explains the lack of verticality 0-0 or 1-1 (1 0) and the offensive dependence of Messi.
It is not at all pragmatic, it is a machine that already has its plan in mind and its changes already planned in advance.
Barça, instead of playing, is trying to protect themselves more from their opponents' games and this has been going on for too long this season.
The team has the best players to play good matches, it turned out in some matches that Valverde opted for an offensive game and the concern is that it does not suit him, he still prefers his style in the following matches .
The style of play is not only Valverde's only flaw, he is also a limited person, without character, without audacity and unable to react to an unforeseen situation such as the domination of his opponent.

I will celebrate the day this guy leaves and takes his love Rakitic as if we won a treble.
GTFO, EV and Rakitic.

He is a coach who does not move in the face of situations.
A certain fetishism of stability exists in him and a fear of taking risks.
