Ernesto Valverde - V1

Lets be real, he is our manager for next season 100%, this will be disgusting...

Really?

The guy just blew a 4-1 lead while leaving a player who the board spent 100m on on the bench until the last five minutes and when he came on we looked a threat all of a sudden.

And we just lost 8m from our Rakuten sponsorship because we didn't make the SF.

On top of that it was the most humiliating night in our history and we are being crucified by international media today.

EV's little stint just cost us millions and created global media circus of mockery around our club.

He's finished.

This will be the pic Valverde will be remembered for in decades time.

I think Valverde was safe if he won the double and had we gone out in the Semis after a hard fought two legs that we barely lost and I think the squad would have been okay with that as we can use the Summer to finally get stronger replacements in.

But after this debacle not even the Double will save him now.

You saw it coming..., did you see Pep get destroyed by Liverpool as well? Everyone were drooling about City and how they are better and how they are strong, so what's the problem here, after spending hundreds of millions? The thing is every manager can get exposed in CL because you need just one bad night and you out, that's why you can't prioritize CL, you always need to focus on La Liga and what happens in CL, happens.

I had been alright with us getting eliminated last night had we at least played an entertaining and attack-minded game. However, Valverde's tactics are defensive and cowardly, especially considering the squad he has at his disposal. It's really boring to watch and just not in line with how we should be playing. Also, Manchester City may have been eliminated, but Pep is hardly known for parking the bus. His team was eliminated trying to play beautiful and attack-minded football.

It's funny, or rather ironic, that it seemed like Valverde got nervous. He got the stage fright big time. He was probably like "omg omg omg, semis in the CL - guys don't fuck this up! Defend, defend with all men behind the ball. Don't try to play and pass or even put you feet on their half!" And our players were like "coach, it's cool - we've done this before. We play, we attack, we shake them up and sometimes attack is the best defense" and Valverde was like "NO, we're so close - be afraid, be very afraid - don't pass the ball on the ground, just cross that fucker to the middle of the park" and the players like "but coach, they are all like 20 cm taller than us and THEY need to win - just kicking the ball mindlessly up the field and losing it all the time sounds like a really bad strategy!? Can we at least counter them a couple of times with 3-4 players since they will be exposed at the back? You know, we have the best player in the world and one of the best forwards and 100M sitting on the bench" and Valverde was like "NO, NO counters! Just treat the ball like a hot potato - as soon as you get it quickly get ride of it, doesn't matter where. GOT IT! And ohhh, be very nervous guys ok?!"

Fallout with players comfirmed.

Not clever by Dembele but i can understand the kid is angry at Valverde. Just imagine sitting on the bench while your team gets trashed, doesn't create chances, SEE ANDRE GOMES SUBBED ON BEFORE YOU, and then he throws you in at 85min when you're down 0-3 and close to getting knocked out.

Valverde is such a coward, a Barca manager shouldn't fear AS Rom like that.

It doesn't matter, Emery didn't get sacked after an even worse embarrassment, and there is no good coach available, and its world cup so new coach would get no time to work with the team before 18/19 starts, the only way EV is not our manager next season is if he gets sacked today, which, again, is 100% not happening.

We will get to know how PSG fans felt having to support the same manager, for over a whole season, who made an embarrassment out of the club.

He can get sacked at the end of the season.

Lucho was hired in a world cup summer. Didn't really matter.

He won't get the sack.

When was the last time the club sacked a manager ?

Most likely they will announce that he's agreed to leave at the end of this season.
