Also, Manu has always made deal late in summer,so bad example
And Mou said he gives him a list of what the team need and what type of players he want with recommendation. Don't believe his words that if they decided to follow another player they won't go back to him.

Sounding out players if they would like to join is a preparation. Just because Robert listens to the opinion of the new coach doesn't mean that he isn't prepared. Robert just works undercover. :cool:

The idea is that we have to be quick and decisive in the market. The more you wait, the fewer options you have, because there are many good teams trying to complete their first 11s with quality players.

It is a mix between both tbh, people underestimate importance of patience in the market. Yeah with some targets you need to be quick but sometimes players tend to be available later in the market not early. for example we made an offer for Benatia but in June Roma didn't want to sell,in August after we had Mathieu they made him available. ton of example out there for great deals in August.
And again, not saying we should be lazy but it is understandable that there is a decisions to be made yet.

Last season when Pep arrived Man City barely signed a player until August and for Man Utd with Mourinho arrived they were into July and later before players were signing.

It is not always seen as a race to sign players as quickly as possible.

Even then by all accounts Barca tried to sign Vinicius before Real and also Theo Hernandez.

I have a feeling that we will buy him or Herrera 99% surely, as they are Valverde's first picks, they seem like good fits and they are somewhat available.

That will be a cm, then we'll probably buy Bellerin.

Then the question remains: is that it?
Or we will still look for one star player Cam or Rw like Coutinho, or we will just bring back Deulofeu, Munir (and Paco) for 433 and Deulofeu/Munir/Rafinha/Vidal/Roberto for a Rw in 4231?

If we'll buy Seri+Rb without another star player, it is questionable whether that will be enough.

And ofc, we'll probably buy some new young random Cb.

Not going to get Herrera. He will most likely sign a new contract.

More money and more central figure to Man U than would be at Barca.

Hopefully we buy Thomas Lemar as well who can also play on the wings. Lemar, Seri and a good RB would clearly strengthen our team. I would have preferred Naby Keita instead of Seri, as he has more upside potential, but Seri isnt a bad choice by any means. Seri could be more like a Xavi replacement and Lemar would be the Iniesta replacement. If we want to play Messi more in the middle in some games, Lemar could play on the right.

Yes Herrara is not available, he will become captain soon and get a bigger contract. He is very underrated there, great player for them. I haven't seen Seri play, can someone who watch him tell about how he plays. I still think barca will go for a star even if we sign seri, most probably Coutinho.

Normally, yes, but not this time. This time we need players who would have a big chance of starting for Barca. It's very unlikely that the players who
could do that right away are unknown names, or aren't already linked to quite a few good teams.

If a good offer comes for those players, they will move, not wait for Barca to get interested. There is short supply of top class players and high demand. In this cases if you wait too long your chances of signing a great player get reduced. They certainly don't go up.

I don't know man, the way this tweet say it it seems we already talked to player/agent and even have sounded his club. The player himself want us and it is normal that he would wait to hear from the coach himself

With RBs we definitely should be quick with other clubs also looking for one. Might end up in an unfortunate situation if we let that drag on till mid-August.

Hope the Semedo rumours are true.
