Who will surely make it?
1. Players with a huge talent
2. And who are good allrounders without any deadly flaws like a poor IQ, extremely weak physique, pace or stamina, poor professionalisn and similar

3 younger players who will probably reach majority of expectations:
1. Mbappe
2. Frenkie
3. De Ligt
They all have talent and nice all round skills without some deadly flaws.

Who won't reach expectations?
= roughly 80% of young players

Who surely won't make it?
= Dembele

But again, 4 out of 5 kids won't come even close to fans' expectations so you can pick more or less any youngster and you will be correct.

Seri in theory could've been at least a decent player for Barca, not the 2nd coming of Xavi or anything but an ok addition to the squad if he continued to play like under Favre. Compared to Gomes and Arda almost anybody would've been an upgrade :lol:

He was hyped too much yeah, but going to Fullham probably also just wasn't a good move for his career. Players like him can't easily adapt to every team/style/league.

Fulham at the time played a style perfectly suited to him (my local team as it happens). He was just not good enough even for bottom of the Premier League.

Definitely one of the most hyped players on this forum along with the likes of Benatia etc

Only watched him in France and he played well there so it's not like the hype was entirely made up. But maybe he just sucks, haven't followed him since then.

fulham were an abomination defensively, any team of note were cutting them apart at will. embarrassing stuff considering the money spent over the summer. ill advised recruitment.

He had one good season pretty much. People just get carried away with groupthink.

They aspired to play possession football as they did in the championship but indeed were terrible. Still, my point was that they signed him as he is more suited to that style but he was crap.
