Adrien Rabiot

He's not fecking better than the other ones mentioned. You have a big ego? How about you show it on the pitch? The self enititlement of decent to good players is disgraceful. Kondogbia this season has been a class above him and he's not in the squad. All the other mids are way superior to Rabiot too. You could argue about Matuidi, but even then, he offers more muscle and hustle than Rabiot.

He should be grateful if he's in the reserves. This way he has a chance of being in a WC in case of emergency, because on merit, he certainly doesn't.

Rabiot has been underwhelming whenever he plays for France, not really a big loss for Deschamps anyway...

Literally no self respecting top player would be honored to make the reserves list for the WC.

Oh I don't think you are good enough, but if something happens you never know.

This, i fully understand his decision.

"Its an honor to be on the reserve list" lol fuck off i'm going on holiday.

Deschamps is an arrogant prick like most of French sporting press anyway.
I remember when Ribery retired from the National Team they wore treatening to select him anyway.

I can't believe people are supporting this kind of bullshit.

1. He didn't deserve to get selected, more so after saying he didn't give his full effort in their last WCQ game because it was too cold

2. Doing this you basically end your Intl career. You're not a superstar, there are many good midfielders in the French Team, but if you improve you will def be there in 2020 and 2022, but after this? Probably not.

This guy is such an entitled prick with the stereotypical soccer mom.

Will prob end up underachieving in his career due to his entitled, POS attitude.

Like the second coming of Samir Nasri.

Wouldn't be surprised if he fades out in the exact same way too.

It's one thing to have disagreements with the manager, but this guy is spitting in the face of the FFF and committing career suicide.

He's still a young player and lots of things can change, players retire get injured, new managers etc...which would have given him plenty of opportunities for the future.

One has to pick their battles wisely, this guy is an idiot.

He's acting up however Deschamps really is such an annoying, condescending prick. He and the French football establishment rub people the wrong way.

They need a coach who has some man management skills. Instead the will always recruit an old fashioned, prissy white guy.

Deschamps is an awful coach, however if you really want to make a good argument against the exclusion of Rabiot, you have to look at all the other mids selected instead of him. Is there anyone clearly worse than him? IMO, there aren't. So what's his problem? Accept this fact and do better in the next years. He has all the time in the world to make the squad for at least 2 WC. Acting like a bitch could even compromise his club career down the road. Clubs could see this kind of behavior and would think twice about signing him. He only has to lose here.

Better players than have been left at home, to boot.

Imo the entitlement is from Deschamps and the French soccer establishment expecting people to just accept to be on a reserve list and train for weeks and not go on holiday for the slim chance that someone gets hurt and you can make the squad after all.

Deschamps is a dickhead. Yes, Rabiot could have behaved better but the French football establishment are cocks.

They still can't grasp the fact that the team is multi cultural and the guys have different ideas and loyalties.

I can understand the frustration for Rabiot. He is in the France team since october 2016, never miss a single match since this time and finally Deschamps doesn't take him... Awful.

For who ? Nzonzi ... I don't like the mentality of Rabiot, but his match references are way better than Nzonzi : Real, Barca, Chelsea, vs. all thoses teams he did great matches. He's 23, multi-skilled for his age, never beaten technically. Deschamps isn't better than him, he didn't at least call him to explain his decision. Two idiots IMO. Rabiot because everybody will remember what he did, Deschamps for his lack of psychology with a young player.

How's that even relevant here or relevant to Deschamps' history? You make no sense here. Many countries announce a reserves list too.

Again, this makes no sense here given Deschamps' history and Rabiot's case. Not many players had problems with Deschamps. I don't like him as a coach, but even Zidane rooted for him so these "cultural" BS you come up with is not valid at all here. The only one is Benzema who was involved in the Valbuena case and then called Deschamps for a racist for not calling him up lol. Like why the fuck would you want a locker room cancer in your team, especially when his record with the NT isn't spectacular in the first place.

Rabiot can go to his holidays. He don't need to train for weeks. The reserves list is just there in case an injury occurs. If that happens a player will get called up and get an opportunity to join the team and cancel their vacations if they want to. It's the same if you don't put out the reserves list. Players still go to vacations and get a call while sitting on their ass somewhere in Aruba or some shit. France have this list to show that these are the players that would have gone if it was allowed to have a much bigger squad, the next players in line.

Rabiot is just acting like a prick here which is not surprised given the history of his batshit crazy agent mom who probably treated him like a little shit while growing up which is why he feel so entitled. As for why N'Zonzi went ahead of him then it's because he's a different player type and a very good player himself. You need a versatile squad. Not the same players, just inferior to your starters.

In March 2018 Deschamps let Rabiot know that he should go easy to not injure himself in the following weeks because he was gonna be called up for the WC.

Rabiot feels betrayed by Deschamps' choice to not take him to the WC after implying otherwise and refuses to apologize or to go back on his decision to not be a part of the backup players.

He wants PSG to support him publicly and despite having a meeting with Thomas Tuchel planned for this week he cancelled it to go on vacations letting the club know he'd only be available in July.
