    Iniesta out for 2 months

In La Liga match against Valencia at Mestalla, FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta injured a ligament and part of his right knee.

Iniesta was tackled by Enzo Perez and grabbed his knee and called for medical assistance in the 12th minute.

Challenge from Valencia's Enzo Perez infuriated Barca boss Luis Enrique on the sidelines, but went unpunished from referee of the match Mallenco.

Barca's season has been plagued by injuries so far as Lionel Messi has just returned from nearly a month out, whilst Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba were injured in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Manchester City.

Initial prognosis are 2 months on the sidelines for Barca captain.

Extremely concerning. We are really going to miss him in the first clasico. Really a shame too because Lucho was doing a really good job managing his minutes for this shit to happen really has gotta annoy you, both as a player and a coach.

    Get well soon Don!

    Fuck, it's official : 2 months out
The Internet is full of tribute videos with some version of the title "Messi doesn't dive" a trait rare in a sport where players roll around on the ground like gunshot victims when an opponent so much as breathes on them.

Theories abound about why Messi won't fall, about his character or his respect for the game, but I think it's much simpler. If he dives, he loses the ball.

Not fuck. 2 months is okay. We will still have him recovered for CL knockouts action.

    1-Speedy recovery Don Andres
2-In the next 3 months we might have the chance to know who is Iniesta ultimate successor in the starting line up. whether we have him in our team already or we will need to spend big in the market in a couple of years

Expecting Iniesta's successor to step up now is pretty optimistic based on what we have seen to far this year from the other midfielders. But now we will see who can prove he should play regularly. I just want Lucho to sub really early whenever a midfielder is not playing well. With so many choices, there is no reason to settle for mediocrity.
