Zlatan still looks a worldbeater in Serie A at 38. League is a joke.

Im sure Zlatan would be good in every league. He is a pure classic striker who doesnt need to run much. Because of his physique he or Ronaldo could play till 40 if they didnt lose their instinct like Torres did. Messi is 33 and still destroying the league, he could also play till 40.

Granted, its a few years ago now, but Zlatan handled EPL just fine when he played there.
Maybe Zlatan is simply a class player?

Yeah of course he's class, as is Ronaldo, but the point is there's nothing amazing about a 35 year old banging in goals in Serie A. Quagriela top scored in it at 36 the other year.

Ronaldo could play for Juve at 38 and score a bunch of goals, as Zlatan is.

Speaking of 35 year olds scoring goals, that was about how old Zlatan was when he was banging them in the PL, btw.

Yes, it may be easier to score goals in Serie A for old strikers(especially now that they blow for penalties for everything), but i think Zlatan or Ronaldo would do just fine if they want back the EPL now.

Its crazy how good Portugal has become. At the moment they are better than Spain and slightly worse than France. Top3 team for Euro2021.

Yeah dont push it, they are still boring, they just sat back and let France have the ball for some reason.
Ofc, France were awful with the ball, but still, no intention from Portugal to run the game.

All of the current superstars are meh on the international level. Not sure if it's the level of commitment (CL taking precedence for instance) or whatever...but you don't see the type of production that Romario or R9 showed in the 90s for instance.

Not only on international level. Clubs are shit too. The quality of footballers has declined since 90s despite the hailed "professionalism" that's supposed to be on higher level all around. Maybe the average teams and players are playing on higher professional level, but it's mostly mediocrity all around. No stand out players and very few teams that play unique style. Just weak clones of Pep ball or Klopp ball.

Football is going through a transitional period and I think now is arguably the worst period in football history in terms of overall quality at least since the 70s.
